A packed Central Line carriage is enough to make anyone dream of a hot stone massage. By midweek, even your shoulders are begging for a holiday.

But not all wellness spas deliver the bliss they promise. Nobody wants a lukewarm sauna or a rushed massage when they’ve paid good money to relax.

So, we’ve compared treatments, facilities, and booking policies to spare you the guesswork. Here’s our pick of the best day spa in London for some well-earned pampering!

How much does a day spa cost in London?

A day spa in London can cost anywhere from £15 to over £700. Prices depend on the treatments, facilities, and packages you choose.

How We Reviewed

  • Thermal and Wet Facilities: We checked which venues offer full heat and water circuits versus simple shower rooms.
  • Privacy and Crowd Control: Our team looked closely at session capacity limits, private room setups, and guest policies at each venue.
  • Treatment Variety: We compared menus to see who covers specific needs like pregnancy massages, clinical body wraps, and traditional hammam scrubs.
  • Booking Flexibility and Rules: We checked the fine print on minimum guest counts, rescheduling cut-offs, and device policies before recommending any spot.
  • Opening Hours: Looking at daily schedules helped us spot the venues that stay open late for after-work sessions.

Address: 2-3 Robert St WC2N 6BH

Contact: +44 20 3830 4610

Hours: Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 10 PM, Friday 9 AM to 11 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 11 PM

Who knew the former home of Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie would become a grown-up’s paradise?

AIRE Ancient Baths London swaps storybook magic for candlelit pools, orange blossom scents, and a dreamy date-night setting.

Here, you can hop between hot, warm, and cold thermal baths without anyone rushing you along. The saltwater flotation pool and aromatic steam room make switching off feel like a proper treat.

Fancy taking the pampering up a notch? Choose a package with a massage, or book a couples’ treatment for some well-earned relaxation together.

Better yet, AIRE limits guest numbers per session to keep the atmosphere calm. It’s a lovely escape from London’s hustle without actually leaving the city.

However, don’t expect a private romantic hideaway, as you’ll share the bathing areas with other guests.

You’ll also need to book ahead, and the 48-hour cancellation policy leaves little room for last-minute changes.

Pros

  • Historic, candlelit setting
  • Varied thermal bathing circuit
  • Saltwater flotation pool and steam room
  • Couples’ massage packages
  • Limited guests per session

Cons

  • Shared bathing facilities
  • Advance booking required
  • 48-hour cancellation policy

Customer Reviews

The best spa experience in my life!

The best spa experience in my life! It was a part of my present for my best friend’s birthday, and we both came here for the first time. I was worried that the price didn’t match the experience and obviously wanted my friend to love it, as the whole day was about her. But honestly, it was so amazing; the reception staff were friendly, and even their voices were calming.

Overall, a very complete and memorable experience.

One of the best spa experiences I’ve had. Going on a weekday afternoon made a big difference, as it was quiet enough that I often had the pools to myself. I loved the dim lighting and overall design — it felt very immersive and easy to switch off completely. My favourite areas were the 40℃ soak and the floating pool. The massage was also excellent, especially the hot stone treatment, which was incredibly relaxing. Overall, a very complete and memorable experience.

2. The Private Spa

Address: 169 The Vale

Hours: Daily, 9:30 AM to midnight

Fancy a sauna session without making awkward eye contact with strangers? The Private Spa in Acton gives you an entire spa suite to yourselves, so you can soak, steam, and unwind in peace.

Depending on your suite, you can enjoy Finnish saunas, steam rooms, pools, and experience showers. Just check your chosen room’s amenities, as facilities vary between suites.

Better yet, the larger Lux suites accommodate up to eight guests, making birthday celebrations a proper splash.

We like that you can even order food and non-alcoholic drinks straight to your suite without interrupting the relaxation!

And for those whose calendars are bursting at the seams, the spa stays open until midnight every day. It’s a handy way to squeeze in some pampering after a hectic London workday.

That said, you’ll need at least two guests to book, so solo spa days are off the cards. Bookings are non-refundable, and rescheduling requires at least five days’ notice.

Pros

  • Fully private spa suites
  • Sauna, steam room, and pool facilities
  • Lux suites accommodate up to 8 guests
  • In-suite food and drink ordering
  • Open daily until midnight

Cons

  • Minimum of 2 guests per booking
  • Non-refundable bookings
  • 5-day rescheduling notice required

3. Sisters Spa London

Website

Address: 154-154A Seven Sisters Road

Contact: 020 3093 2542

Hours: Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM

Sisters Spa London takes the faff out of pampering with Moroccan hammam rituals, massages, and hair treatments under one roof. This women-only retreat on Seven Sisters Road is ideal for anyone craving a head-to-toe refresh.

Start with a traditional hammam scrub using Moroccan black soap and exfoliating mitts. Then give those aching muscles a break with a deep tissue or hot stone massage.

Fancy giving your locks some love too? The salon offers keratin and Hair Botox treatments, so you can leave feeling fabulous from head to toe.

Meanwhile, mother-and-daughter sessions and bridal packages make special occasions extra indulgent. For a proper girls’ day out, private packages accommodate four or six guests without anyone gatecrashing the fun.

The catch is that the women-only policy rules out mixed-gender couples and groups.

The spa also closes at 6 PM on Sundays, so late weekend pampering isn’t on the cards.

  • Massage and hair services under one roof
  • Private packages for 4–6 guests
  • Bridal and mother-and-daughter packages

Thank you, I will be coming back again.

Went to Sisters Spa for the first time for a spa, hammam and wash and blow dry (afro 4c textured hair). A great experience; I have never experienced a steam room quite like this. My pores were opened; I was scrubbed and treated so very well. Looking and feeling great. Special thanks to Habiba for my hair, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Thank you, I will be coming back again.

We are thoroughly satisfied with the services rendered.

Our experience at Sister Spa was exceptional. The staff’s hospitality, customer service, and overall standards consistently exceeded expectations, providing excellent value for the investment. The team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and skill. We particularly commend Fuirdous for her outstanding contributions, the attentiveness and professionalism of the hamam specialist, and the remarkable talent of the hairstylist. We are thoroughly satisfied with the services rendered.

Beautiful and relaxing spa

Had the best facial/facial massage from therapist Arta. An exceptionally gifted therapist; her touch is simply magic! Thank you, Arta!✨ Beautiful and relaxing spa, attentive and kind staff. The heated marble loungers and fireplaces were divine, a wonderful, cosy, peaceful spa to visit (especially in the winter months). Really enjoyed my day, highly recommend.

Everything you could want from a luxury spa treat.

First of all, the facilities are outrageous – it’s like walking through a marble palace. All of the staff were kind and attentive; my massage and facial by Ripa were absolute bliss, and I was even given a little cake because it was my birthday. Everything you could want from a luxury spa treat. Would highly recommend!
