Founded by Dr. Fragoyannis, Ear Care Lab has earned a reputation as the gold standard for ear wax removal.

When we visited, we were impressed by how the doctors made the whole experience comfortable and stress-free – no small feat when it comes to ear care!

One thing we really appreciated is that you don’t have to be a London resident to visit; they welcome patients from all over the UK. Their ear wax removal starts at £75, and if you want to chat about the procedure beforehand, they offer telephone consultations for £50.

We also love how easy it is to book an appointment online. And we have to give a nod to their blog section – it’s packed with useful information.

However, we do have to note that they charge £15 just to write a prescription.

Pros

  • Comfortable experience
  • Accessible to everyone
  • Competitive rates

Harley Street Hearing has been the go-to spot for ear care on Harley Street for over 25 years.

What really caught our eye is that the BBC and Global News have spotlighted Harley Street Hearing—not a bad claim to fame! And the audiologists? They’re not just skilled; they’re genuinely focused on making you feel at ease and informed throughout your visit.

As the largest independent hearing clinic in London, they offer two solid methods for ear wax removal: micro-suction and ear irrigation. We tried the ear irrigation, and it was pretty smooth – just warm water gently flushing out the wax, leaving our ears feeling brand new.

One thing we couldn’t help but appreciate was how easy it is to snag a same-day appointment. Sure, it starts at £80, but the convenience of booking online without dealing with phone queues is a definite win in our book.

Pros

  • 25 years of experience
  • Effective treatment options
  • Easy online booking
  • Convenient same-day appointments
  • Patient-focused care

Cons

  • Higher pricing

Offers a prompt and convenient appointment scheduling process

“If you suffer from a buildup of earwax like I do I’d recommend using these people. On my last visit I was seen by a young lady called Jazz, she was very professional, reassuring and executed the wax removal procedure efficiently. The cost of this was £80 not cheap, but in my opinion well worth it to receive an appointment of my choice and not have to wait ages for the NHS to see me.”

Relieves worries instantly with effective wax removal

“Great staff, super friendly and very helpful. Was instantly relieved of my worries after the wax removal and could finally hear properly from my left ear again after a very worrying month. Worth every penny. Highly recommend the Help Musicians service also,  had my moulds done today so will soon receive my fancy custom ear plugs. I worry about using headphones and speakers in the studio all day but this will soon help ease my mind.”

Hearing First London is a breath of fresh air for those seeking quality ear care without the high costs. It’s led by Jason Levy, who has over 20 years of experience in the hearing industry.

We were honestly impressed by how they cater to sensitive patients. If the thought of loud noises during treatment makes you uneasy, their manual instrument ear wax removal is a quieter alternative that gets the job done just as well.

What really caught our eye was their pricing. Ear wax removal starts at just £54, but here’s the kicker—book online, and you’re looking at only £44. It’s not often you find such competitive rates, especially for the level of care they provide.

We also love that they offer thorough hearing tests without the usual pressure to buy hearing aids, which can be a real turn-off at other clinics.

Pros

  • 20 years of experience
  • Sensitive patient care
  • Affordable pricing
  • No pressure sales
  • Easy online booking

Cons

  • Appointments can be hard to get due to high demand

Clear Ear Clinic caught our attention since they’re one of the few micro-suction clinics regulated by the Care Quality Commission. That extra layer of oversight definitely adds some peace of mind.

When we checked them out, it was clear they’ve invested in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the ear wax removal process is as smooth and pain-free as possible.

Now, we do have to point out that their services come with a price tag. The ear wax removal itself is £100, which is on the pricier side. Plus, there’s an additional £25 charge for the initial assessment. It’s a bit pricey, but the top-notch care makes it worth it.

What really clinched it for us, though, was their translation services. If English isn’t your first language, you won’t have to worry – they’ve got that covered. They make sure clients understand every step of the way.

Pros

  • Regulated by the Care Quality Commission
  • Top-notch equipment
  • Translation services
  • Convenient online booking
  • Informative website

Cons

  • Premium pricing

Provides quick and effective earwax removal

“Boots Hearing recommended them. I called and they gave me an appointment within the next half an hour. Highly professional staff, good facilities, very effective and quick ear wax removal. I have a narrow ear canal but no problem and you don’t need to soften the wax with ear-drops before going. It cost £100 in Wimpole St but I had paid £60 elsewhere two weeks ago for a bad job. So am super pleased I can now hear! Clear Ear Clinic highly recommended.”

Reverses significant deafness caused by 3 years of impacted earwax

“Clear Ear Clinic – superb service, including for a stubborn elderly person with 3 years of impacted wax in one ear causing deafness which was significantly reversed!! I have attended this ear micro-suction service with my family for years and they have always been excellent. However, I am adding this review to say a special thanks for the incredible care they took with my 80 yo godmother. Special thanks to Christine for her patient and caring persistence til all was clear – as they promise ‘on the tin’. Melvin at reception is a gem, as is Mary, the lead nurse specialist. All the staff are lovely and have ‘can-do’ approach making it easy to book and friendly yet professional. Could not recommend more highly.”

I can’t of picked a better place to have this removed. I’m extremely grateful to hear again. I would definitely recommend to all my family and friends to book a session with the North London Ear Wax Clinic.”
