I normally don’t pay attention to event hosts at parties. I just want to eat food and chat with friends, not listen to a person I don’t even know.
But there’s this one event with a host who knows so well how to grab everyone’s attention. He made us all smile and laugh with his witty jokes.
That night made me realise how many dull, forgettable event hosts I’d endured before, and how much of a difference a great host can make.
So when our company started planning its anniversary celebration, I knew we couldn’t settle for an average host. I went looking for the best event hosts in London, the kind who can turn a good event into a great one.
Here are the ones I found!
How much does an event host cost in London?
An event host in London may cost between £250 and thousands of pounds. Specifically, a standard-level event host could be as low as £250, while premium ones’ prices could go from £1,000 to thousands of pounds.
How I chose the best event hosts in London
- Service quality: I selected companies with event hosts who know how to make audiences stay interested throughout the event. I checked their hosts’ profiles, talked to previous clients, and watched videos of past events.
- Customer service quality: I picked those who respond fast to questions through email and communicate with respect on phone calls.
- Range of hosts: I opted for agencies that have several hosts in various fields, such as comedians, singers, and more.
- Service areas: I looked for businesses with event hosts who can service all areas of London.
1. RIVA Media

Phone: +44 20 8541 1996
Business hours: Open 24 hours
RIVA Media is the ideal company for formal events. Their team has seasoned media personality hosts—including news anchors, radio presenters, and broadcasters—so they’re more than capable of handling large-scale, high-profile gatherings.
They really shine when it comes to managing and hosting meetings and events involving government officials and corporate leaders. As a matter of fact, they’ve hosted some summit conferences.
I also admire their versatility. They have entertainment news reporters who have experience hosting runway events. This tells me they know how to match the energy and tone of more creative, fast-paced settings.
Another thing I really appreciate is RIVA Media is willing to take care of their host’s travel journey. They arrange their host’s plane flight, reducing your responsibilities.
However, they are relatively expensive compared to other companies on my list. The minimum rate for their hosts is £3000.
2. Champions Music & Entertainment

Address: 1st Floor, 17 Hanover Square, Mayfair
Phone: +44 20 3793 4042
Business hours: Open 24 hours
I’m amazed at Champions Music & Entertainment’s longevity. They’re the longest-standing company on my list, operating for over 20 years.
That kind of staying power doesn’t happen by accident. You could tell they’re doing something right when it comes to quality and reliability.
Most of their hosts have entertainment-related professions, making them a great choice for lively events. They have comedians and singers, among others.
I find them particularly well-suited for festive occasions like Christmas parties. One of their previous clients proved this to be true by telling me they had a very wild night at their company’s year-end party because of the enthusiastic host.
What’s great is that they can be hired in over 40 countries. This means you can have an entertaining host, whether you’re in America or Asia.
The only downside is that they tend to prioritise larger corporate events more than anything else. This means they might not entertain you if your event is relatively small.
3. Bella Entertainment

Address: 28 Graham Ave
Phone: +44 788 887 1274
Business hours: Open 24 hours
I appreciate Bella Entertainment’s diverse range of hosts. They have plenty of emcees from different niches. Specifically, they have comedians, reporters, and even musicians!
I also love that they specialise in two kinds of events. Their hosts are excellent at handling corporate and private events.
Their comedian hosts, in particular, have a way of getting everyone at the party laughing and involved. It’s no wonder many of their previous clients described their events as memorable.
In addition, I love that they host community events, including gala events. They are the only company on my list that hosts this kind of event.
Aside from those mentioned, they can also host weddings and festivals, specifically music festivals.
The only minor disadvantage I noticed is that they don’t have a roster of their hosts on their website. This is bad for their business as other companies list their available hosts on their website with helpful details about the hosts’ credentials.
4. Event Hosts Ltd

Address: 71-75 Shelton St, Covent Garden
Phone: +44 20 8935 5587
Business hours: Open 24 hours
I love that Event Hosts is the only company on my list that offers a free quote. A quote is definitely good for any kind of business. So, it’s a green flag for me that they have this feature.
It’s also a green flag that their hosts can speak multiple languages, including English and German. This flexibility makes them a great choice for a diverse range of audiences and a wide range of events.
Speaking of events, they’re well-equipped to host exhibitions. It doesn’t matter if you will be having an art or trade exhibition, they can handle it for you.
One more thing I appreciate is you can hand out speeches to their hosts, and they will deliver them excellently. Just tell them in what kind of tone you want to hear the speech. I think it’s a good option if you want control over the message but not the mic.
That said, they have a comparatively small roster of hosts. If you’re after lots of options, this could be a slight drawback.
5. Talent & Co

Address: Marble Arch Park House, 116 Park St
Business hours: Open 24 hours
Talent & Co’s personalised approach in offering hosts is a strong point for me. They thoroughly analyse your upcoming event and carefully select a host that matches your event’s distinct character.
Another thing I love is they provide video clips of their hosts’ previous hosting performances. You’ll get to see the recommended host handling an event similar to yours, which gives you a real sense of their delivery and presence.
For events, they are another company on my list that is skilled in hosting corporate events. But they also shine in hosting marketing campaigns, so you can hire one of their hosts if you’re planning an upcoming product launch.
The only thing I could critique about them is their limited availability. Aside from corporate events and marketing campaigns, they don’t host other types of events.
