Depending on your needs, you may work with a psychotherapist to talk through challenges or a psychiatrist for diagnosis and medication management.
To help you choose the right place to begin, I rounded up the best mental health clinics in London and highlighted the ones known for compassionate care, experienced professionals, and personalized treatment. Find the support you deserve here.

How I Reviewed
Regulatory Compliance: I looked for clinics with strong ratings from official health regulators. This helped me choose practices that follow national safety standards and deliver reliable care.
Specialist Team: I gave higher marks to clinics with experts from different mental health fields. Having several specialists in one place makes it easier to find care that fits each person’s needs.
Modern Treatment Methods: I prioritized clinics that use current therapy approaches and thorough mental health assessments. These methods help create more accurate and personalized treatment plans.
Patient Experience: I read recent patient reviews to understand how each clinic communicates, provides support, and handles long-term care. Consistently positive feedback helped me identify clinics that people trust.

Thorough and Understanding ADHD Assessment
10/10 for Dr Sijjad Ijaz. I booked my ADHD assessment through Harley Street Mental Health and I’m really glad I chose him.
He was thorough, thoughtful and genuinely understanding. What stood out was that he took time to understand the bigger picture, not just the symptoms in isolation. My history is quite layered, but it didn’t feel rushed or like a tick-box exercise.
The report afterwards was extremely comprehensive and clearly reflected the assessment. I came away feeling properly understood and really appreciated the care and humanity he brought to the process.

All the communication I had with them was very clear. Dr Rhuta Dandekar, who did my assessment, was very friendly and made me feel at ease. I would recommend using HSMH to anyone going through the same thing as me.

London Psychiatry Clinic stands out by making mental health care feel more personal, with support that fits different languages and cultures. Talks happen in Spanish, Arabic, Urdu, and more, helping many patients speak with more ease during the sessions.
To make things simple, patients can start with a free intro call before they pick a doctor or therapist. Choices also include TMS, a keto diet plan, and saliva-based gene tests, helping patients and doctors pick care based on true needs and likely drug response.
Before you start, it helps to know that finding the right pills can take time and careful shifts. Stopping any script also needs a doctor-led step-down plan, since withdrawal effects can show up.

Responsive and Timely Crisis Care
Needed an urgent assessment for my son and Dr Stephen NG and Shonagh were excellent. So responsive and super kind and fantastic care. I got an appointment within 24 hours. Can’t thank them enough. Being a mental health professional myself I can certainly recommend them and the service they offered. The quick response made all the difference to our family in a crisis, meaning my son got effective and timely care. The follow up appointments and swift prescribing made the whole process so much less stressful than it would have been otherwise – thank you Stephen and Shonagh!

Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM | Saturday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
The Blue Tree Clinic – Private Psychiatrists makes starting mental health care less stressful by helping patients see senior clinicians within 2 days. The same clinician stays with you throughout, making trust easier without telling your story again.
On top of that, the service brings together different types of help based on your needs instead of leaning on one fix alone. Choices include food advice, CBT, and trauma work with EMDR, helping patients grasp their options while getting fuller support.
However, phone help can be limited since the clinic mostly runs on an email call-back system. Some coverage plans also aren’t taken, so it’s worth checking yours before you book.

4. ADHD Health Clinic

Website: adhdhealthclinic.co.uk
Address: 98 Crawford Street, Marylebone
Contact: 020 7362 6532 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM
ADHD Health Clinic makes the search for a brain-based diagnosis feel less heavy with a free online symptom check and a short first call. That warm first step helps people look into private ADHD care before they choose to move ahead.
Notably, each 90-minute consultation is done by a CQC-checked pro, backing safe, fair reviews. This careful path helps clients grasp their diagnosis and service choices before making decisions.
Klarna pay plans also make private care costs easier to handle.
However, the clinic doesn’t give crisis help, so urgent cases need public emergency care. Follow-up visits are also capped to clients who got their diagnosis through the clinic’s own team.

The London Psychiatry Centre stands out for helping people with hard mental health cases through advanced care backed by years of skill. This clinic was first in the UK to bring in rTMS back in 2012, showing long-standing know-how.
Each session starts with full checks before plans match each patient’s needs. Choices include the Zamar Protocol, plus heart and hormone support when stress affects physical health, helping patients get fuller support instead of focusing on symptoms.
Just be aware that these expert services can cost a lot, with some checks running into the thousands. Driving to the clinic may also be less handy due to fees and tight parking.

Life-Changing Treatment for My Son
having been on and off medication for the past 10 years of his life. The medication side effects were awful and made no difference to his condition. he now has a job he enjoys, sports activities and is very happy and planning a bright future. We are lucky to have found Dr Zamar as our son now has treatment that works for him levothyroxine and rTMS.we are well aware that not many mental health patients find treatment that work for them, so we are very grateful x
