Are you planning a night out with your friends in The Big Smoke but finding it hard to choose which club to visit? If so, this blog is for you.
Whether you’re in the mood to dance until dawn or sip cocktails while touching base with friends, London’s nightlife has you covered.
This city has clubs that can turn your next night out into the kind of story your group chat would love to talk about.
In this blog, I’ll discuss the best nightclubs in London that guarantee unforgettable vibes, epic tunes, and maybe even a new favourite DJ.
1. Carwash Nightclub

Operating Hours:
- Friday – 9 PM to 2 AM
- Saturday – 12 PM to 4 PM and 9 PM to 3 AM
Pricing: £
My friends and I love the combined 70s and 80s disco ambience of this retro-themed club. Carwash Nightclub is our go-to spot when we just want to dance all night and enjoy old-school music until the wee hours.
This club is Europe’s longest-running disco and pop party venue that plays 80s, 90s, and 00s music. So, if you’re into that kind of music like us, this is definitely the club for you.
But you know what I love most about this club? The swimming pool and jacuzzi! There were times when I escaped from my friends just to soak my body in the relaxing waters of the jacuzzi.
Pro Tip:
Don’t miss out on the club’s bottomless brunch when visiting on Saturday for a bonkers drag party experience.
Note that tracksuits and sportswear are not allowed. Keep your costume stylish, fashionable, and funky so the guards will allow you to enter the club.
2. Electrowerkz

Address: 7 Torrens St
Contact Details: +44 20 3976 6669
Operating Hours:
- Friday – 10 PM to 12 AM
- Saturday – 10 PM to 6 AM
- Sunday – 12 AM to 6 AM
Pricing: ££
Electrowerkz never fails to give us a distinct experience, thanks to its raw and edgy environment in a good way. The unconventional and a bit rebellious attitude of the crowd is very contagious.
When it comes to sounds, they host a range of alternative music nights, including goth, industrial, and techno. The ever-changing music night event is what my friends and I always look forward to in this club. It’s truly a different vibe every night in this club.
In addition, I appreciate the club’s welcoming atmosphere. The club strongly supports underground and LGBTQ+ events. You can express yourself any way you want without experiencing discrimination.
Pro Tip:
Always check the time of the last entry on their website, as it constantly changes depending on the event.
There are no parking spaces near the club, but they strongly advise contacting them past 6 PM so they can find one for you.
3. TSQ Club

Contact Details: +44 20 8103 3659
Operating Hours:
- Friday and Saturday – 10:30 PM to 3 AM
Pricing: £
Situated in the heart of London’s nightlife district, TSQ Club’s programs are designed for all-night fun with friends. One of my friends always invites us here because he loves to dance to modern music, specifically K-pop.
Like Electrowerkz, this club supports the LGBTQ+ community. As a matter of fact, one of their great feats is hosting drag shows every week without fail. It’s really a stress reliever to watch their energetic, comic performers every weekend.
Another amazing thing about this club is the themed parties. We’ve attended their Purge-themed party before, and I can say that it was a night worth remembering. The drinks, the music, the fun—all of it.
Pro Tip:
Don’t wear extremely revealing garments, such as overly sheer or very short dresses, as you won’t be let in. Wear stylish and fashionable attire to avoid inconvenience.
Don’t leave the club premises beyond the smoking area, as you will need to purchase a new ticket to re-enter.

Metropolis Club will always be in my memory because this is where I experienced my first-ever strip club party. It turned out to be an unforgettable experience, despite my initial nervousness.
Aside from the strip club, we also visited here a couple of times for their lively club nights. They combine nightclub vibes with cabaret and burlesque performances.
I love how the club seamlessly blends the music from DJs and live acts from the performers for their guests to enjoy.
It’s also worth mentioning the club’s Instagrammable interior design. It consists of multiple floors with eclectic designs that you will definitely love to put on your Instagram grid.

Try to party from one floor to another, as every floor has a different DJ playing a unique music genre.

- Saturday – 6 PM to 1 AM

The Social is the club that changed my perception of nightclubs. I thought before that nightclubs were solely about dancing and drinking. This bar is different because it hosts book readings, film screenings, and art exhibitions.
Sometimes, I visit here alone just to immerse myself in the art exhibitions. I appreciate that they allow themselves to be a platform for artists wanting to share their art with people.
I’m also a big fan of the club’s intimate setting. Its cosy basement venue, where live music and DJ sets take place, is really perfect for a chill night out with friends. I’m happy every time we’re here because it’s less rowdy than most clubs in the city.
Pro Tip:
Consider becoming a Social Member for guaranteed access to at least one monthly event with a limited number of priority discounted tickets.

KOKO is, without a doubt, our go-to club for live concerts and electronic music events.
This iconic theatre-turned-nightclub venue hosts affordable concerts of various musicians worldwide, including rock bands, R&B artists, and even rappers. We attend a concert here every time a certain artist sparks our interest.
The club nights happen at the back of the theatre. We visit here either Friday or Saturday if we just want to lose ourselves in the electronic dance music.
Lastly, the club boasts an Italian eatery called Cafe KOKO. Its bottomless brunch is worth trying before losing yourself on the dance floor.

E1 is a large, industrial-style club with state-of-the-art audio systems catering to electronic music enthusiasts. They always invite international DJs with a unique EDM sound.
The club’s spacious layout features rooms with immersive lighting. It features numerous lighting fixtures, including lasers and pixel-mapped LED bars. This gives us and other clubbers a lively vibe, encouraging us to party all night.
The most impressive part? The nightclub has a comprehensive medical facility. The venue has a medical room near the entrance where professionals provide first aid. It also serves as a quiet space for recovery when you’re totally wasted.

Every time we visit Phonox, I see it as a club with a community vibe that prioritises a no-frills, music-first experience. It also has a friendly atmosphere, allowing my friends and me to socialise comfortably with like-minded clubbers.
The club has resident DJs who bring consistent musical curation to the crowd. I notice that the DJs in this club focus on musical quality over hype, providing vibrant music that is distinct to them. It’s commendable because they don’t follow trends but still deliver.
Lastly, I love the club’s minimalist interior design. This allows the guests to focus on the music more than anything else, ensuring an all-night party from late evening until early morning.

Wearing suits and fancy dresses is not allowed. Only jeans and trainers are permitted.
Buy tickets online to save money, as ticket prices at the door are always more expensive.

Dear Darling Mayfair has an elegant ambience that combines a bar and lounge setting with eye-catching decorations. This is where we go when we want a curated night that focuses on sophistication.
I’m a hip-hop nerd, so what I love most about this club is its hip-hop acts. Renowned hip-hop artists like Rick Ross and Offset of Migos performed here multiple times. I always look forward to the hip-hop artists who will perform here.
In addition, Dear Darling Mayfair DJs also love to play house music. The steady, pumping beat makes my friends go crazy on the dance floor.

If Dear Darling Mayfair has several hip-hop performances from famous rap artists, B London has renowned DJs, such as the legendary Carl Cox. I’m always amazed when I see him do his techno music set when we visit here.
Apart from Carl Cox, the club houses over 20 excellent DJs from different countries! Imagine a club with a diverse sound every night because of so many in-house DJs.
It’s also worth mentioning that the club offers themed areas, such as a Cuban cocktail bar and my favourite Berlin-inspired DJ room.
Pro Tip:
Smart shoes are mandatory for men, so make sure to wear them when you visit!
If you’re attending a specific event, check if a guest list is required for free or discounted entry.
