Physiotherapy in London should help you heal, not leave you more confused than when you walked in. And yet, many people still come out of sessions feeling rushed, unheard, or handed the same templated therapy.
That’s the problem we wanted to dig into. To help solve this, our team took a closer look at what separates the good clinic from the bad.
We interviewed patients, visited clinics, and looked at how care is continued for sustained recovery.
After cutting through the sales talk, we narrowed it down to the top physiotherapy clinics in London. Check them here!
| How much does physiotherapy cost in London? The cost of physiotherapy in London ranges from £80 to £150 for an initial assessment. Free NHS care or insurance coverage is also available. It’s advised to check in with the clinic about what’s possible. |

1. Covent Garden Physiotherapy

Location: Ground Floor, Durham House, 1 Durham House St, London WC2N 6HG
Contact: +44 20 3161 4646
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Considering the range of services, Covent Garden stood out in our list. They’re one of the key places that offer comprehensive solutions, from sports massage to post-operative rehabilitation.
One of their key strengths is their targeted treatment plans. In fact, the patients we interviewed all said they experienced massive improvements.
In line with this, we appreciate the individualised exercise prescriptions. These routines target pain, mobility, and strength, helping patients enjoy a more sustained recovery.
The video guidance was also a nice touch.
The clinic met our standards when it comes to overall patient care too. Consultations are in-depth and never rushed. The general attitude of the practitioners is also calm and reassuring.
As for booking, we find their reception staff efficient and accommodating. The only downside is that it can be hard to book a slot, especially for senior practitioners.
When it comes to costs, we do find them relatively more expensive than others in the area. Though the patients we interviewed say they got their money’s worth.
Very effective and organized office
“Had an amazing experience here. Ayush is a very thorough and effective Physio. I have seen great progress since working with him post surgery of rotator cuff tear. The staff in general is very nice. Victoria runs a very effective and organized office. Would highly recommend.”

Always accommodating, efficient, and friendly
“I’ve been using CGP for years and have always found the booking process straightforward. Victoria at reception is absolutely lovely—always accommodating, efficient, and friendly. I’d especially like to recommend Jeremy. After receiving treatment for my knee, I’ve noticed a significant improvement. His expertise and care have made a real difference. A big thank you to the whole team!”

2. Central Health Physiotherapy

Location: Quality House, 5-9 Quality Ct, London WC2A 1HP
Contact: +44 20 7404 6343
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Central Health Physiotherapy impressed us with their expertise. Looking through their history, they’ve successfully treated complex cases.
Some of these include post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
We inquired about their approach and are happy to note how personalised treatments are. There are tailored exercise plans involved, as well as ongoing guidance to assist in recovery.
In addition, we also appreciate the constant communication all throughout. Therapists stay in touch, providing updates, and even send exercise photos to ensure correct form.
Beyond the pleasing staff attitude, we’re also in favour of their flexible facilities. With lunchtimes available, appointment times are convenient.
Remote consultations via video and phone are also possible. This allows them to deal with patients based outside of London.
If there’s one thing we’re not too happy about, it’s their strict cancellation policies and payment requirements. On top of that, fees are already on the premium end.
A seamless experience
“Alesia was professional, knew exactly how to diagnose my problem; and also thoughtful as she guided me through correctional exercises and my consultation. I look forward to coming back for a follow up appointment and becoming more mobile! Thank you to the Central Health team for a seamless experience”

3. BOOST PHYSIO – Kensington

Location: 3rd Floor, Virgin Active Gym, 17A Old Ct Pl, London W8 4PL
Contact: +44 20 8201 7788
Opening Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Boost Physio stood out to us in terms of patient care. In fact, the quality of results was frequently highlighted by patients during interviews.
Key notes include significant improvements within a few sessions. Others say they managed to avoid surgeries entirely due to the effective physiotherapy.
The approach to treatment is a key player in this care. We loved how attentive their therapists are, creating tailored exercise plans to ensure safe and sustainable recovery.
Even their facilities support a seamless patient experience. Upon walking in, we immediately noticed how modern it is, with a spacious lounge area.
There appears to be a comprehensive range of equipment too, including units for hydrotherapy options.
Availability is another strong point. Scheduling is generally flexible, plus they offer same-day appointments whenever possible.
As with other clinics, the experience isn’t always stellar. A patient pointed out poor treatment quality with certain therapists.
However, this is an isolated case, and more experiences remain positive.
Knows exactly what is needed
“Pietro is brilliant physio – he has helped me recover two separate injuries of runner’s knee and a sprained ankle. He is so knowledgeable and knows exactly what’s needed to get you back on track with physical therapy and exercises. He is also friendly and attentive – I’d highly recommend him to anyone!”

4. The Hogarth Health Club

Location: Airedale Ave, Chiswick, London W4 2NW
Contact: +44 20 8995 4600
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
While Hogarth is better known for their range of physical activities, their clinic also stands out. They offer a good range of services, from sports injuries to back and neck pain.
One of the key things we noted was the hands-on treatment. Assessments for conditions are always clear and in-depth. This made patients feel more confident in their recovery.
We also appreciate that their treatment plans actually make sense in real life. This means every routine is adjusted so patients can easily get back to their daily lives.
The experience of their team is also exceptional. They have physiotherapists who focus on women’s health, as well as experts who specialise in rehab exercise.
Pricing was generally viewed as fair for the level of experience, even though it’s not the cheapest in the area.
As discussed, though, the Horgarth Health Club is not a fully specialist physiotherapy clinic in London. Those experiencing complex cases may be better off with a different clinic.
Welcoming atmosphere
“I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Hogarth Health Club! Every visit was filled with joyful moments, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff and the warm, welcoming atmosphere they create. The facilities are spotless and very well maintained. From the workout areas to the locker rooms, everything feels clean, organised, and comfortable. Overall, this health club offers the perfect blend of positivity, professionalism, and cleanliness. Highly recommended!”

5. One Body LDN

Location: 5A, Maltings place, 169 Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 3JB
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
One Body stood out to us for their hands-on therapy approach. They combine deep tissue massage, joint mobilizations, and tailored exercises into their programs.
We liked that each patient receives a customized rehabilitation program. This structured approach ensures measurable progress while reducing the chances of injury.
The fact that programs are supported by apps like Physitrack is a great plus. Patients can track their progress with this.
Visiting the clinic also impressed us, as the place is clean and modern. Same-day appointments also make multiple locations accessible for many patients.
Their pricing is among the best we’ve encountered too. One Body accepts all major UK and international insurance plans.
We also appreciate the 50% discount for new clients and the no-risk guarantee.
We only heard a few complaints about a few administrative issues, including invoice delays. There were also issues with cancellation and refund policies.
Clear and effective treatment
“Pooja has been wonderful! I limped in to my first appointment, unable to run, and in lots of pain with my ankle and knee, and Pooja has listened and helped so much. We’ve made lots of progress with exercises, sports massages and dry needling, and I’m so thankful to be running again, and feeling so much better now. My treatment plan has been clear and effective. We’re now building up my strength and flexibility, and I know I’m at the right place to help me get there! I would recommend One Body LDN and especially Pooja to anyone I know. Thanks so much Pooja, it’s fantastic working with you :)”
