The 5 best podiatrists in London for care and expertise you can count on

Londoners put their feet through a lot of work, from pounding the pavements around Covent Garden to squeezing into those boots you swore fit at the shop.

But when every stroll starts feeling like a nightmare – thanks to that dull ache in your heel that you can’t simply sleep off – you’ll need a podiatrist to get you back on your toes, literally.

To help every Londoner keep up with their foot health, our team interviewed locals and chatted with clinics to see how podiatrists treat their clients. We also had a team double-checking credentials, so we know your feet will be in good hands.

Walk with a purpose again with these practitioners.

How much does it cost to see a podiatrist in London?

The cost of seeing a podiatrist in London ranges from £55 to £80 for the initial consultation. Follow-up visits range from £30 to £45.

How we chose the best podiatrists in London

Range of services: We assessed the variety of treatments offered, from routine foot care to advanced surgical solutions. Preventative care and long-term management options were also considered.

Technology and facilities: We considered whether the clinics have modern diagnostic tools and treatment technologies. Clean, accessible, and welcoming clinics were preferred.

Personalised care: We looked into the level of personalisation each clinic offered, from consultation to the creation of treatment plans. A solid follow-up support was also taken into account.

Cost transparency: We evaluated how clear and upfront the clinics were when it comes to pricing. Solid fee structures and flexible payment plans were also taken into account.

Patient outcomes: We interviewed clients to evaluate reported outcomes based on their cases. We looked for effective resolution of issues and improved mobility.

Website

Grays Foot Clinic is a reliable choice for a wide range of podiatry needs. This is thanks to their comprehensive services, covering biomechanical assessments and treatments of a wide range of common foot conditions.

Among the clinics we’ve reviewed, we find them the best for toenail surgery. This option comes with full packages inclusive of consultation, local anaesthetic, chemical regrowth prevention, and an aftercare kit.

They make the entire thing easy, convenient, and safe, which is what we’re looking for.

We also appreciate that their orthotics are custom-made with high-quality plaster-of-Paris cast molds. Even the packages are comprehensive, already including fittings, modifications, and follow-ups.

Based on what we’ve gathered from testimonials, client experience is solid. For one, they show exceptional responsiveness, accommodating last-minute and emergency appointments, even during holidays.

The only area that doesn’t have much flexibility is their fees. They’re relatively more expensive than most. On top of that, they charge cancellation fees, which can be a downside for most clients.

On the good side, clients said they received the full value of what they paid for.

Pros

  • Wide range of podiatry services
  • Highly experienced and personable practitioners
  • Comprehensive surgery packages
  • Reports of rapid healing
  • Accommodates last-minute and emergency appointments
  • Personalised aftercare and follow-up
  • Use of high-quality orthotics

Cons

  • Charges cancellation fees
  • Relatively more expensive

Clear, comfortable and meticulous

“I had a total toenail avulsion in May this year and both Michael and Andre went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and explained the aftercare in detail to ensure a smooth recovery. 4 months in, and my toenail is growing back quickly and healthy. I couldn’t thank them enough for the care, patience and approach during the process. Highly recommend! ⭐️✨”

Amazing care and professionalism!

“We are so happy we found Michael and Andre for my son’s ingrown toenails while visiting from abroad! Literally looked him up online on a Friday night at around 11:30pm and was booked in next day for treatment on a Saturday before our next leg of travels! And Michael continued to provide follow up virtually… Such amazing care and professionalism!”

Feet by Pody deals with a wide range of common and complex podiatry conditions. They offer basic services like general foot care and nail surgery, as well as advanced options like shockwave therapy and Swift microwave treatment.

Listening to client stories also reassured us of their expertise. Most of them said that they experienced immediate relief from pain, owing to the clinic’s tailored solutions and detailed advice to manage long-term conditions.

For the sake of transparency, we did encounter a few reports of unsatisfactory client outcomes. However, these appear to be common only among those with stubborn conditions that require multiple treatments.

On the good side, the overall experience is great. The clinic is well-maintained and modern, which helps clients feel less anxious. Reception staff are helpful and prompt, making appointment scheduling fast and easy.

While we think their cancellation and late policies are inconvenient for some clients, we do like transparency in fees. Pricing is not the cheapest among those we reviewed, but the value for money is evident.

Pros

  • Wide range of podiatry and chiropody services
  • Modern clinics accredited by the Royal College of Podiatry
  • Multiple London locations
  • Excellent customer service
  • Solid client outcomes
  • Personalised and thorough consultations
  • Fast and easy appointment scheduling

Cons

  • Strict cancellation and late policies
  • Minor reports of unsatisfactory outcomes

Professional with great advice

“I had an appointment today with Reena who was absolutely brilliant. She was very knowledgeable, professional and gave me great advice for preparing to walk a 26 mile charity event. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I will definitely be back again.”

Felt great after treatment

“Friendly and professional treatment. I’ve not been to a podiatrist since I was a child, but was pleasantly surprised with the care and consideration shown by Christiana. The appointment wasn’t rushed and she took the time to deal with my issues and helped with advice. My feet felt great afterwards !”

3. The Footlift London Clinic

the-footlift-london-clinic

Location: 33 Cavendish Square

Opening Hours: Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Website

The Footlift London Clinic is a great option for stubborn conditions as they specialise in advanced treatments. Some of their offerings include cold laser therapy and Lunula laser.

Beyond this, services span custom orthotics, gait analysis, and injury rehabilitation.

They take hygiene and safety seriously. Their clinic is spotless and sterile. It also surprisingly doesn’t feel clinical. In fact, the atmosphere feels luxurious, emphasized by treatments like vegan collagen foot masks.

That said, the premium approach to podiatry also translates to higher pricing. Clients looking for basic medical-grade treatments at lower rates will find better practitioners elsewhere.

On the good side, we can say the value for money is pretty solid, just from the overall client care alone. Practitioners explain the procedures clearly, making clients feel more confident.

They also address both functional and aesthetic aspects of foot health.

As for outcomes, we find the reports mostly positive. Most clients we interviewed said the treatments led to life-changing, long-term improvements. In fact, most of them were able to return to sports and fitness within weeks.

Pros

  • Offers virtual consultations
  • Specialises in advanced therapies
  • Immediate and long-lasting results
  • Sterile and luxurious environment
  • Address both functional and cosmetic aspects
  • Multiple convenient locations
  • Personable practitioners

Cons

  • Premium pricing
  • Difficult to secure last-minute appointments

Comfortable and amazing experience

“It’s difficult to explain just how good The Footlift London Clinic is. I truly detest anyone touching my feet and just avoid pedicures. I think I have had two or three in the past (I’m over 50) and found them so difficult. But this was so different. There were not tickles, no pain, no looking away while it felt a bit wrong. I just felt looked after. And the immediate change in how my feet looked and felt was amazing, This is a medical pedicure – and I now know the difference. Thank you Simone.”

Experienced, empathetic, and provided confidence

“Simone has not only changed how my feet look, feel and perform, she’s given me a whole new lease on life!   She is an expert practioner, an empathetic presence, and a provider of confidence. I look forward to every session.   She has transformed me into a runner once again.   I thought those days were over!   Cannot recommend Simone and Footlift enough.”

4. Margaret Dabbs London

Location: 7 New Cavendish St

Contact: +44 20 7487 5510

Opening Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Website

Margaret Dabbs offers a wide range of services, covering both medical-grade and cosmetic needs. Their specialised services include medical pedicure, custom orthotics, and laser therapy for fungal nails, among others.

According to the clients, the therapies are effective, allowing them to feel like they’re “walking on air” immediately after the treatment. We also appreciate the cosmetic improvements they managed to provide.

The experience is made even better with the clinic’s stylish and private environment. Unfortunately, we did observe that the place feels a bit crowded during busy hours (usually after work hours and the weekends).

On the bright side, the clinic ensures high attention to detail during consultations. Procedures are explained clearly, followed by thorough aftercare advice. In some cases, they were even able to point out underlying health issues.

On the rough side, we did encounter issues with wait times going past the scheduled appointments. Though based on what we’ve heard during interviews, this is likely due to the depth of consultation and assessments performed.

Pros

  • Wide range of podiatry and beauty treatments
  • Luxury spa-like experience
  • Lasting improvements
  • Offers loyalty packages
  • Convenient Central London location
  • In-depth consultations and assessments
  • Offers proprietary foot and beauty products
  • State-of-the-art equipment

Cons

  • Can be crowded during busy hours
  • Long wait times

Professional, knowledgeable, and skillful

“I had a medical podiatrist assist me at Margaret Dabbs today — her name is Popi  — and I was so impressed. She was professional, knowledgeable, and skillful, and gave me a lot of reassurance throughout. I can honestly say it’s the best pedicure I’ve ever had. My feet have never looked or felt better. Highly recommended!”

Outstanding work quality

“I recently visited Margaret Dabbs London Marylebone and had a truly wonderful experience. I treated myself to a manicure, and the quality of the work was outstanding. Ewelina, Bindu, and Renata were all absolutely amazing, providing exceptional service and making sure I was looked after throughout my visit. Their expertise and attention to detail made the treatment stand out. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone seeking top-quality foot and beauty care.”

5. Angel Chiropody & Podiatry

angel-chiropody-podiatry

Location: 89-91 Mildmay Park

Contact: +44 20 7226 7006

Opening Hours: Monday – Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Thursday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Website

Angel Chiropody & Podiatry offers a comprehensive range of services. They provide routine foot care and advanced treatments for fungal nail infections, bunions, and plantar fasciitis.

Just take note that for bunions, they offer management services only and not surgery, which can be limiting for some clients.

We loved how thorough and personalised the consultations are. Practitioners carefully listen to client histories to target the root cause of the issue. They then create a tailored treatment plan with long-term improvements in mind.

The transparent pricing is also a win, with rates that are relatively more affordable than most options. New client consultation costs £99, with treatments ranging from £85 to £125 for specialised options.

Customer service is also excellent, providing everything we wanted in a seamless experience. They provide timely appointment reminders, flexible scheduling, and even accommodations for payment when needed.

While scheduling is flexible, popular hours in the afternoons and weekends can be difficult to book on short notice, though possible if you book a day before.

Pros

  • Wide range of treatments offered
  • Personalised and empathetic care
  • Clean and welcoming facility
  • Transparent and fair pricing
  • Focuses on long-term results
  • Can make payment accommodations
  • Solid customer service

Cons

  • Can be difficult to book on short notice
  • Doesn’t do surgeries

Skilled, professional, and kind

“Absolutely amazing – one of the best medical appointments I’ve ever had. Faisal is incredibly skilled, professional, and kind. I only wish I had done this 15 years ago. Highly recommended!”

Simon Rufell | Google Review

Absolutely professional experience

“Being coming here for years, Gina is an absolute marvel for making your feet feel like new, a sensation you realize (belatedly) that you could have enjoyed aaaaages ago instead of trying to get that wretched in-grown nail by yourself. Absolutely professional experience across the board on each visit, one of those rare finds you tell others about simply for the sheer joy of sharing something useful.”
