I have a friend who came from the United States. He’s been in different countries, and London is on his bucket list. Every country, he’s curious about its offerings, especially with wine.
He’s not a wine enthusiast, but he loves it and has tasted lots of it. From fruity wine to earthy ones, he has experienced it. Now that he’s in London, he’s asking me for some recommendations. So, I called my Wunderlust London team to help.
After researching and asking around, we found some great wine tasting experiences in London.
If you’re planning to go wine tasting too, here’s a list we made for tourists, connoisseurs, and even beginner wine tasters looking for some aromatic adventure.
Boulevard Brasserie
– Media credit: boulevardbrasseriewc2
Address: 40 Wellington St
Contact Details: +442072402992
Operating Hours:
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday – Saturday 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pricing: £39.95 per person
If you’re near Covent Garden, Boulevard Brasserie is the nearest sultry bar to go to. They host regular wine tastings paired with cheese boards, typically done at night.
For the price of £39.95, you’ll have a French cheese board with three delicious cheeses, baked camembert, and accompaniments. It also has a complimentary glass of champagne and three surprise wines by Boutinot Wines.
The bar’s ambience is jazzy, with dim lighting and a 1960s Parisian interior. For us, it’s the kind of place where you want to stay just a little longer.
Pro Tip:
- Don’t be shy to ask the sommelier for recommendations—both on wines and their French-inspired small plates—for the best experience.
Bedales Wine Workshop

We heard that Bedales Wine has hard-to-find wines in their cellars, so you might as well not miss it. But if you want to stick with Italian and French wines, no worries, because they actually favour these flavours.
You can enjoy self-guided wine tastings available from Sunday to Thursday. But we think that group tasting offers much more fun and value, priced at £600 per 10 persons.
We also recommend trying their London Epicurean tasting if you’re looking for a unique menu prepared by their head chef. Think of five courses and their finest wines!
Pro Tip:
- If you’re in a group, order different wines so you can swap and taste other flavours without overspending.

For a more romantic setting, we chose The Winemakers Club. Many love its romantic cavern just underneath the Holborn Viaduct — a bit humid, but their wines will impress you. If you’re a couple who are into wine, then this is a perfect experience.
Their wine list features a great selection of wines, complemented by two standout cheese and their charcuterie boards. They host different tastings throughout the year, featuring a particular style or region.
Heads up, though: they don’t serve full meals. They will, however, give you lots of bread to snack on while the tasting is ongoing.
Pro Tip:
- Grab the opportunity to purchase the wine you liked during the tasting experience! It’s 10% off for participants.

Luxurious tasting, you bet? Theo Randall at the Intercontinental Park is the way to go. You’ll get an exclusive wine tasting experience exploring Italian flavours paired with antipasti and ciccheti.
We personally like their themed tasting experience. Each month, they introduce and explore a different wine-producing region. For instance, in August, they have Puglia—more fruity and spicy flavours.
The best part is you’ll also be able to taste Theo Randall’s dish. They end the evening with a seasonal pasta dish, made by master Theo himself!
Pro Tip:
- They offer a 30% discount on different Sommelier-selected wines, so better take this chance if you wish to take some away with you.

For a more casual and local vibe of wine tasting, The Wine Tasting Shop is what we’ve found. Their tasting experience is actually held in their cellar, so you can get an authentic and intimate feel surrounded by shelves of wine.
You’ll get to taste seven types of wine in one sitting, or choose their wine and cheese tasting instead.
If you’re up for a challenge, then try their blind tasting. The host will help you identify all the elements you can’t figure out, so no worries. It just feels exciting to try.
The good news is that they also accommodate parents with their little ones who want to unwind. You also get to meet other local parents with their babies. Tasting wine while chit-chatting sounds good!

Vagabond Wines appeals to those who love cheese paired with wine, nothing more and nothing less. In this tasting experience, you’ll get more premium quality wines than the ones they use in their masterclass.
Welcome champagne with two canapes is present. It’s a guided tasting of four artisan 30g cheeses paired with two white and two red wines. However, if you prefer to learn pairing techniques and how to taste like a pro, their introductory masterclass is for you.
Their wine selection is also great and well categorised, with enough information and good tasting notes.
