5 Best Furniture Delivery Services in London Worth Booking for Easy Transport

Bringing home a new sofa, wardrobe, or vintage find is exciting, but getting it there safely takes the right help.

Even if you’ve already hired movers for a full house move or booked cleaning services before settling into your new space, transporting a single piece of furniture often calls for a dedicated delivery team.

To help you choose the right one, I rounded up the best furniture delivery services in London and highlighted the companies known for careful handling, reliable service, and timely deliveries. Make your next delivery hassle-free.

How much does furniture delivery cost in London?

Furniture delivery in London typically costs £30 to £120 for most single-item deliveries, though smaller courier services can start at £19

The final price depends on the retailer, delivery speed, and whether assembly or room-of-choice delivery is included.

How We Reviewed

Delivery Speed: I looked for companies with real-time driver tracking and flexible booking times. These features help deliveries stay on schedule, even with London’s busy traffic and road restrictions.

White Glove Service: I gave extra points to businesses that do more than leave furniture at the door. Room placement, furniture assembly, and packaging removal all made a big difference.

Item Protection: I checked each company’s goods-in-transit insurance and driver screening process. Strong coverage and careful handling help keep valuable furniture safe during delivery.

Clear Pricing: I focused on services that show instant quotes with no hidden fees. Upfront pricing makes it much easier to compare options and avoid surprise charges later.

Great Quality and Friendly Staff

I had a great experience buying from this company. Quality second hand office furniture for prices that were MUCH lower than I expected. The staff were super friendly and helpful too. They also offer an add on delivery service that includes assembly of items on the other end. I would shop here again without hesitating.

Helpful Staff and Efficient Delivery

What a wonderful supplier.

Suffering with a chair that was making sitting at a desk a painful experience, I went looking for a new chair. Office Furniture In London (London Bridge branch) came to the rescue.

Teelay and his colleague were kind, knowledgeable and really helpful as they patiently produced chair after chair for me to try out.

Having made my selection, the delivery was quick and efficient.

Everything worked perfectly – a rare occurrence these days!

They showed that they genuinely value their customers with every fibre of their being.

And my back is much happier.

Thank you

2. The Removal & Delivery Company Ltd

the-removal-delivery-company-ltd

Website: theremovalanddeliverycompany.com

Address: 124 City Road

Contact: 0203 731 7003 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM–7:00 PM | Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

The Removal and Delivery Company Ltd helps keep moves cheap, with one flat rate all week, so there’s no extra cost tacked on for weekends. A price match plan and a set move guide also lend a hand through each job.

On the service side, the trained crew handles take-apart, build-back, and clean disposal, giving old stuff to local charities in need.

Also, £50,000 worth of cover and well-trained staff add more peace of mind while stuff gets moved, keeping each job smooth from start to end.

Before you book, though, know that pay-by-hour rates may add up if delays crop up. Bigger crews can also mean no room to ride in the van cab with your stuff.

Pros

  • Consistent pricing all week
  • Dedicated move manager
  • Full dismantling and assembly service
  • Ethical furniture disposal

Cons

  • Hourly billing can raise costs
  • Passenger restrictions with larger crews

Efficient Delivery Through Tricky Staircase

I hired the company for the delivery of an old piece of furniture that needed to be installed 1 floor up, and go through a narrow and tricky staircase.

Long story short, they were amazing and pulled it off with a smile.

Thanks!

3. Kiwi Movers

kiwi-movers

Website: kiwimovers.co.uk

Address: Workshop 30, Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, John Archer Way

Contact: 44 020 8877 9682 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM–5:30 PM | Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Kiwi Movers makes tricky furniture moves simple, with flexible pay-as-you-go rates and the option to hand back unused packing gear. The skilled crew handles oversized pieces with care, working through tight spots without a scratch.

On the equipment side, the team leans on tools like hoists to tackle narrow stairs and tough routes with ease. Storage is also up for grabs if move-in dates shift, and free rescheduling with 10 days’ notice adds even more room to plan.

Before you book, though, know that basic cover runs limited, so pricier items may call for the MoveProtect add-on. Moves through tight spaces can also push up the final bill.

Pros

  • Flexible pay-as-you-go billing
  • Specialized hoists for difficult moves
  • Secure warehouse storage
  • Free rescheduling with notice

Cons

  • Low standard liability coverage
  • Extra charges for confined spaces

Fantastic Service and Heavy Lifting

The guys at Kiwi Movers were fantastic. We had an odd job involving two collection locations across London and one delivery in the Home Counties. The organisation team were easy to deal with and efficient and the moving crew were brilliant. So fast and careful and went above and beyond to help. We kept adding things and they kept finding room! Everything delivered and ahead of schedule – they even helped reassemble furniture we hadn’t asked them too. Really decent guys with nice humour throughout, despite some very heavy lifting required! Would highly recommend. Final bill came in under the quote.

4. Porta Delivery

porta-delivery

Website: portadelivery.co.uk

Address: 20 Wenlock Rd

Contact: 0203 576 4979 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:15 AM–5:00 PM

Porta Delivery makes furniture moves cheaper by linking folks with drivers who’ve got spare space on their routes anyway. This shared ride setup cuts down on empty trips, giving movers a simple way to save some cash.

Speaking of savings, fixed-price quotes keep hidden fees and hourly charges off the table. Cash-on-collection also makes secondhand buys easier, since drivers can settle up with sellers on the spot.

On top of that, the founder stays hands-on with questions, adding a more personal touch to the whole process.

However, know that budget picks skip managed coverage, and furniture needs to be fully emptied and packed up before the ride, which may take extra time up front.

Pros

  • Shared routes for lower costs
  • Fixed-price booking quotes
  • Cash-on-collection service
  • Personal founder involvement

Cons

  • Limited insurance support on budget plans
  • Furniture must be fully prepared

Customer Reviews

Easy Platform and Great Courier

First time using Porta Delivery and it was a breeze. A straight forward and easy to use platform with different options available. We were paired with a great courier who successfully delivered our furniture. I would definitely recommend and use Porta Delivery again.

Easy Booking and Good Communication

I booked with Porta Delivery to pick up and deliver some garden furniture. Booking was easy and on the day Ed kept me up to date with timings. I will definitely use Porta again.

5. Aussie Man and Van

aussie-man-and-van

Website: aussiegroup.co.uk

Address: 139 Acton Ln

Contact: 020 3763 5900 | [email protected]

Hours: Office Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM | Saturday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM | Sunday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM | Warehouse Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM | Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Aussie Man and Van makes big furniture moves easier by putting one point person in charge of each job start to finish. Being part of the British Association of Removers, it says a lot about the focus on real standards and safe moving work.

Fragile and pricey items get careful handling here. Add to that, the crew pitches in with mounting and setup after drop-off.

They use green packing supplies to keep moves eco-friendly, and a flexible fleet covers jobs big and small. The best part is that quotes land within 30 minutes, handy for quick planning.

However, pay-by-hour rates can make costs harder to guess if traffic slows things down. Damage claims also run through an outside insurer, which might stretch out how long a fix takes.

Pros

  • Dedicated relocation team leader
  • Fast quote response times
  • Handyman assembly support
  • Eco-friendly packing materials

Cons

  • Hourly billing affects cost predictability
  • Third-party damage claim handling
