Professionalism: We know that at the heart of every mortgage is the client’s desire for a house. So we also looked at how they treat their clients, their values, and how they communicate. We hand-picked mortgage brokers that have empathy for their clients.
Client Satisfaction: Finally, we chose mortgage brokers that are tried and tested. We checked client reviews to gauge their overall efficiency and quality of their services.
Smart City – Mortgage Broker London provides mortgage brokerage services for first-time buyers, homeowners looking to remortgage, landlords, and borrowers with more complicated financial circumstances.
A key feature is its multilingual approach, with advisers available in English, Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Hindi, and Chinese. This makes the service particularly appealing to clients who may find mortgage terminology easier to understand when discussed in their preferred language.
Smart City – Mortgage Broker London states that its advisers can access more than 90 lenders and over 12,000 mortgage options. A broad lender network can be valuable because it gives advisers more potential routes to explore when looking for a suitable mortgage rather than relying on a limited selection of providers.
The company places particular emphasis on personalised mortgage support, including assistance for self-employed people, freelancers, and applicants with bad credit. This focus on non-standard situations could make Smart City – Mortgage Broker London a useful option for borrowers whose income or credit history does not fit conventional lending criteria.
First-time buyers can receive guidance throughout the mortgage process, while existing homeowners can use the service for remortgaging and potentially finding more suitable rates. Landlords are also catered for through buy-to-let mortgage services designed for both new and experienced property investors.
Convenience is another part of Smart City – Mortgage Broker London’s offering, with tools such as a mortgage calculator, WhatsApp live chat, and an online mortgage control space. The company also offers free calls with advisers, giving prospective clients an opportunity to discuss their circumstances before deciding whether to proceed.
Overall, Smart City – Mortgage Broker London could be a strong choice for borrowers seeking personalised mortgage advice, multilingual support, or assistance with less straightforward applications. Its wide lender access and specialist focus are appealing advantages, although clients should still compare mortgage options and terms with other brokers to ensure they receive the most suitable solution.
For borrowers looking for mortgage advice beyond a standard home loan, Orlmont Finance offers a broad range of mortgage solutions designed around different financial circumstances. Its services cover residential mortgages, first-time buyers, remortgages, buy-to-let, holiday lets, new builds, and high-value lending.
The brokerage also caters to borrowers who may require more specialised guidance, including self-employed individuals, contractors, foreign nationals, and expats. This variety makes Orlmont Finance a potentially useful choice for clients whose income, residency, or property plans may require a more tailored mortgage approach.
Buy-to-let borrowers have access to options that include limited company arrangements, which can be relevant for property investors considering different ownership structures. The availability of holiday let mortgages also gives property owners another financing route for properties intended for short-term rental use.
First-time buyers can benefit from having a broker involved when navigating the mortgage process and comparing suitable lending options. Meanwhile, those who already own property can use Orlmont Finance for remortgaging, potentially making the service useful beyond an initial purchase.
The firm’s mortgage offering also extends into high-value lending and mortgages for high-net-worth clients. This wider scope suggests that Orlmont Finance is equipped to work across both conventional residential borrowing and more substantial property finance requirements.
Another consideration is that Orlmont Finance provides specialist finance alongside its mortgage services, including bridging loans, development finance, commercial mortgages, chain break finance, and business loans. While this adds breadth to its overall offering, borrowers should make sure they understand the costs and suitability of any specialist financing before proceeding.
Overall, Orlmont Finance stands out for the breadth of mortgage types it handles and its ability to accommodate different borrower profiles and property objectives. It may be particularly appealing to first-time buyers, investors, self-employed borrowers, expats, and clients seeking high-value or specialist lending, although the right mortgage will ultimately depend on individual circumstances.
Wide lender access does not guarantee the best deal for every individual
What we love about AS Financial is that they aim to build long-term relationships with their customers. They know how to handle interactions with their clients really well, based on our experience.
They really hold your hand by giving insight and advice before, during, and after the process. So you never had to worry about where you are in terms of the application.
They’re communicative and give frequent updates, which we really appreciate. The process is very organised.
They offer services ranging from contractor mortgages, first-time buyers, remortgages, buy-to-let mortgages, new build mortgages, mortgages for foreign nationals, limited company mortgages, and live/work unit mortgages.
Located in Central London in between King’s Cross St. Pancras, Russell Square, and Chancery Lane, it’s easy to access their offices via the tube. It’s convenient because they’re easy to find and go to.
We all know that sorting a mortgage can be arduous, especially for those that will apply for the first time. However, AS Financial’s speed in executing and producing the principal and final offer is very reassuring, from what we’ve seen.
Their website is also very user-friendly. If you need to access your documents, you can easily do so through their “vault”.
Based on our experience, however, it’s faster to get a response if you call them to inquire rather than using the online form.

Habito is very innovative, from what we’ve seen. They provide an online-first application, which is very convenient.
Based on our experience, they really scour the whole market for mortgages that could apply to you. They get to know you as a customer and your specific needs to help you better.
They’re easy to talk to and are very professional. We like how hands on they are during the whole process.
We like that they have a responsive chatbot on their website that could connect you to a Habito representative. However since they have a lot of customers, we noticed that there are delays in getting back to us.
We found that although the initial process was fast, the follow-up was somewhat poor. We understand that because of the ease-of-use of their service, they have a lot of customers to cater to.
So that’s something to take into account.
Still, we do like that they have automated processes in place, making processes seamless and faster. They were actually even voted as the Best Mortgage Broker at the British Bank Awards.
They are also a B-corp which is a designation that a business is following strict standards of performance, accountability, and transparency. So it reassures us that they’re good at what they do.
If you need help with other factors included in buying a home such as surveying and legal work, they can also help with that through their premium service. We find this very convenient and hassle-free overall.
We find that their premium service is especially helpful for first-time buyers, since usually they need more guidance on the processes involved in buying a home.
They are also offering their own mortgage product called Habito One, which is a fixed for life mortgage. We like that they have options like these for different sets of needs.
Overall, we find their whole process to be very intuitive, customer-friendly, and definitely worth a spot on our list.

We like Rose Capital Partners because they are very professional and knowledgeable about mortgages and it really shows. Their expertise is apparent in the efficiency and quality of their services.
They were also very receptive to questions. They’re not intimidating so it’s easy to inquire about the processes.
They make everything simpler, which is great especially for first time home buyers. We also appreciate their timely updates and follow-ups.
They make sure to notify you should there be hiccups along the way so expectations are set. They make sure you’re not in the dark about your application.
From our experience, they’re easily reachable so you really feel that they are guiding you all throughout the process of your mortgage. They also have their team members’ contacts available on their website, so you are able to reach them directly and easily.
We also like that one of their company’s goals is to help clients be mortgage-free as soon as possible. They’re very empathetic that finances play a role in overall wellbeing, so they really put in the effort to make things simpler and easier.
They can help with first time buyer mortgages, buy to let mortgages, home movers mortgage, remortgage, and even specialist mortgages like self-employed mortgages and UK expat mortgages, among others.
They have vast experience with different cases so it really reassures us that they can adjust to different needs and specialisations. Overall, we find them to be a very dependable mortgage broker.

Fewer services offered compared to other competitors
Bennison Brown Mortgages have built a strong reputation as mortgage brokers. After trying out their services ourselves, it wasn’t hard to see why that’s the case.
For one, they really make it a point to guide you through every step of the process. Your case manager would give frequent updates, follow ups, and make sure you’re always in the loop.
They would even personally call you when your mortgage is approved. We like this personal touch to their services, they really make you feel like it’s a partnership.
What we love about Bennison Brown is that they offer very affordable fees as well. So it’s great if you’re on a strict budget.
To be specific, they charge a £100 application fee which is payable once your application is due to be submitted to the lender. They will also call you in order to inform you about the details before they submit your mortgage.
Then they offer a broker fee of £480 once they secure your final mortgage offer. We like that all these prices are upfront and there are no hidden fees.
They also make sure to be available as much as possible. You can email them or call them when it’s outside their available time, so you can reach out if there are pressing concerns.
They’ll walk you through the whole process, even with issues with banks. We know firsthand how that can be stressful and we’re relieved that Bennison Brown makes it so much simpler.
We did notice that some of their online services are not available, such as their mortgage finder. The FAQs section is also not available.
Their website is pretty outdated, making it hard to look through their services. So that’s something to consider.
Their range of services is also not as extensive compared to competitors. So if you’re looking for something in particular, it might be best to check out the other mortgage brokers on our list.

Simple Fast Mortgage is, without a doubt, a stellar choice for anyone navigating the labyrinth of the mortgage market. From the moment we engaged their services, we felt as though we had entered the express lane of the mortgage world.
Our journey with Simple Fast Mortgage was like a well-choreographed symphony—every note struck with precision and purpose. Their efficiency is a masterclass in streamlining the often convoluted mortgage application process. No unnecessary detours, just a smooth, straight path to homeownership.
Quality is the crown jewel of their service. We were left in awe of the thoroughness of their work. It’s as if they have an insatiable appetite for detail, leaving no stone unturned. They are the Michelangelos of the mortgage world, sculpting mortgage deals that are works of art.
And then there’s the cost. Simple Fast Mortgage gives frugality a good name. Their rates are a breath of fresh air in the financial world—like finding a crisp hundred-dollar bill in your old jeans pocket. They’ve managed to combine affordability with excellence, a feat that’s nothing short of alchemy.
In an industry often mired in jargon and ambiguity, Simple Fast Mortgage offers clarity and transparency. They are like the beacon in the dark waters of mortgage confusion, guiding you safely to your financial shore.
The speed with which they operate is truly remarkable. Our mortgage process went by so quickly that we barely had time to finish our celebratory dance. Their “Simple” and “Fast” moniker is more than just a catchy name; it’s a promise they diligently uphold.
Unfortunately, they don’t offer promos yet. We advise checking their website for other affordable deals.

Coreco is an award-winning company and is known for their efficient and reliable services as mortgage brokers. We were eager to try them out ourselves and were impressed by their level of care and ease of process.
This must be why they won the 2021 MI Awards Best London Broker and 2019 Mortgage Strategy Best Overall Broker awards. They’re really passionate about what they do and it shows.
These awards are a testament to their expertise and it’s really reassuring. They are very hands-on through the whole process and are communicative, which we really like.
They are also transparent about their fees in general, so you don’t have to worry about hidden fees sneaking up on you. They charge £495 as the first part of their fee.
If there’s any remainder, it will be collected when the mortgage completes.
We like their steady and consistent guidance every step of the process. From the first consultation where they’ll identify areas they can help you with, up to the full mortgage application being completed and submitted to the lender, they’ll be there.
Their team is also very approachable and accommodating. They really seem to value their clients, from what we’ve seen.
They’re very understanding and empathetic to the different situations of their customers. Mortgages can be daunting and it’s refreshing to have someone guide you through the process with no judgement.
There are a few reports of mistakes in the application from previous clients. Although these are speedily dealt with, from what we’ve seen, it’s still something to take into consideration.
Just a tip, booking a consultation is faster when you do via phone compared to using the online form.

FAQs About Mortgage Brokers in London
Is it better to get a mortgage through a broker or a bank?
Getting a mortgage through a broker or a bank are both good options, depending on what you value more. A mortgage broker can offer a wide array of options and can streamline the process for you.
They can also guide you every step of the way, which is ideal especially for first-time buyers. Still, working with a bank directly can give you more control in general and would cost less.
Do mortgage brokers charge a fee?
As for how much services would cost, it depends. Brokers do get a commission paid by the lender usually, but it typically ranges from 0.50 percent to 2.75 percent of the loan principal.
Can a mortgage broker give advice?
Yes, a mortgage broker can give advice especially on debt structuring. They’ll help you figure out what is best for your needs at the time.
They can also advise you on the lending process since they have extensive experience working with mortgages.
When should I see a mortgage broker?
It’s best to see a mortgage broker as soon as you’ve got a property goal in general.
However, we do think that whether you’re just checking your options, have long-distance goals, or just want clarity on mortgages and the steps you should take, you’ll benefit from a consultation with a mortgage broker.
