Another thing that stood out to us was their flexibility. Whether you prefer in-person lessons or need the convenience of online tuition, they’ve got you covered. 

We also have to mention the free trial lessons they offer. It’s a fantastic opportunity for potential students to get a feel for their teaching style and see if it’s the right fit before committing.

However, we do wish they had more transparent pricing. Knowing the cost upfront would make the decision-making process a bit smoother.

Ceylan Rogers is a flautist and music tutor who’s truly made a mark with students of all levels, from absolute beginners to those gearing up for conservatoire auditions. 

What impressed us about Ceylan is her personalised approach to teaching. She offers both in-person and online lessons, giving students the flexibility to choose what works best for them.

We also like that she offers a free initial consultation, which is a great way for students to get a feel for her teaching style before committing. 

Plus, she provides thorough music theory lessons and preparation for graded exams to ensure that her students get a well-rounded musical education.

However, we do wish she offered online booking and was more transparent with her pricing. It would make the whole process a bit smoother for new students trying to get started.

“Ceylan is a wonderful teacher who has been teaching my daughter (10 yrs old; Grade 5 flute) for approximately 9 months now. My daughter finds her to be very supportive and encouraging – she enjoys learning with Ceylan, and even practising for the next lesson! My daughter was already learning the flute in school before she started with Ceylan, but since making this change her progress has been fantastic – there have been huge improvements in her technique and skills and she has progressed through levels rapidly. Ceylan prepared her for orchestra auditions and for the ABRSM Grade exams, including recording digital submissions which we could not have done without her. She adjusts the lessons and music to both support my daughter’s goals (eg the auditions), and to introduce her to new music and styles and continuously stretch her development. They also bring a creative twist to music education with techniques like body music, which is not just engaging but also supports neurological growth in young learners.

We were also pleased to see that their pricing is pretty reasonable – adult lessons start at £25, and if you’re just curious to try it out, they’ve got trial sessions for just £17. 

We also appreciated how inclusive their team is. Some of their educators have ADHD or are on the autism spectrum. This personal insight creates a warm and understanding environment, particularly for families with children who have special needs or neurodiversity.

We were particularly impressed by their hands-on teaching style, where students get real-time guidance from industry pros. 

The campus was kitted out with some high-end gear, like Ableton Push 2 controllers and SSL mixing consoles. The setup is designed to immerse you in the kind of environment professionals work in, which is a huge plus if you’re looking to make a serious leap into the industry.

We also like that their courses are accessible in terms of both content and cost. Their Music Production Diploma, for instance, is spread out at £330 per month over a year. Their more specialised courses, like Ableton Live In Depth, are offered at £240 per month.
