She specialises in mood disorders, ADHD, and online bullying cases specifically. So if this is something you’re struggling with, she’s a great option.  

She has an impressive academic background. She finished her degree in medicine in 2007 from University of Santiago de Compostela and specialised in general psychiatry.

She’s professional and very easy to talk to. She helps put her clients at ease with her excellent bedside manner. 

She approaches cases with a multidisciplinary and holistic approach, which we like. 

The clinic she’s part of has a huge team of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other specialists. So if you need referrals, it’s easy to find someone who has expertise in your particular case. 

Do know that their fees for consultations can be hefty. A session with a psychiatrist can cost around £495 an hour. 

So if you’re on a tight budget, it might be best to check out other clinics. 

We find their website intuitive and updated. We noticed, however, that it takes them longer to get back to you if you reach them through the online forms.

Dr. Ilea is a general adult consultant psychiatrist with extensive experience under her belt. We like her a lot for her multidisciplinary, patient-centred approach in treatment. 

She specialises in handling patients with eating disorders, having spent 5 years working in highly specialist ED units in the city. However, she also has experience working with the following conditions:

Aside from extensive experience, she also has an excellent bedside manner. She really makes patients feel heard and understood. 

She supports patients every step of the way and is very hands on. We like how approachable and easy to talk to she is. 

Their clinic has a huge team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists so it’s easy to get referrals if needed. It’s also easy to book an appointment in general because of their intuitive online form. 

Aside from private psychiatry, they also offer a wide range of services like psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR therapy, ADHD treatment, autism assessments, among others. 

We like that they even do home visits, making their services more accessible to more people. They also work with most major insurance companies, so it’s also more accessible financially. 

Do know that you have to pay in advance before your session. If you fail to cancel within 48 hours before your session, you will not get refunded. 

We find their website a bit outdated, however, making it difficult to look through their services. Their pricing for psychiatrist consultations are also not upfront, you have to contact them for the price.

His gentle manner also helps to put patients at ease. He’s easy to talk to. 

Do note that he holds all consultations and assessments mostly online via video call. In some rare cases, he does home visits. 

This is perfect for people with mobility issues or if they don’t have time to go to a clinic themselves. We do understand, however, that this setup is not for everyone.

He’s awarded fellowships by the Royal College of Psychiatry, the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal Society of Medicine. 

Aside from these qualifications, he also has great bedside manner. It’s not hard to see why he’s well known in the field. 

He’s a multi-disciplinarian so he combines different techniques, psychotherapy, and cognitive approaches depending on the patient’s need. 

He is in private practice so if you’re looking for a huge clinic, you may have to check with our other options on this list. 

He meets patients in person or via video call, which makes it very convenient. 

We do find the booking process and his website to be quite outdated, which makes it difficult to go through his services. We think it’s better and faster to get a response if you give his secretary a call instead.
