What we like about this firm is that they give legal advice conveniently. They can talk to you via phone, Zoom, or MS Teams. They’re also giving legal support to landlords living outside the country (as long as your property is in the UK).
Speaking of landlords, they’re experts in handling disputes between the owner and tenant. Most clients praise Nolienne and Tia, who successfully resolved the dispute with their tough landlords regarding repair issues.
One tenant also said that he booked only one simple consultation with the team. After that, he was able to claim back one year of rent from his landlord easily. Another client also received help securing a settlement claim against his landlord.
Talk about pricing? For a 40-minute consultation, they charge £140 per hour (plus VAT). Meanwhile, a one-hour consultation costs £210 per hour (plus VAT). It’s a good rate, but take note that drafting documentation will incur additional fees.
One thing clients don’t like is their poor communication during initial consultations. A tenant said that he waited for two weeks (as the team promised), but no callback at all.

A first-time buyer shared that Sophie and Billie helped him purchase a property. He learned the hard way after his two failed purchases (wasted money). He decided to invest and trust JMW this time, which became a success.
Another said that Joe Da Silva performed the conveyancing for his two investment properties. He was kept informed via email and call and is friendly as well (things he didn’t encounter with his previous solicitors).
The firm has a fixed fee for residential conveyancing, and it depends on the property price range. However, to provide an overview, a freehold property starts at £550, while a leasehold property starts at £800.
We find their fees a bit expensive compared to other firms in the city. There are also still chargeable services and payable third-party fees, which could further increase the final amount.

Many are also happy with the firm’s simple use of language and calm solicitors. For us, this means a lot since not everyone understands the selling and buying process. Plus, it reduces stress and anxiety along the way.
On top of all that, they charge a very reasonable rate. Their conveyancer’s fees start at £1475 (VAT-exclusive) when purchasing a leasehold property.
We’re just disappointed with the lack of communication. A client said he chased a particular solicitor for three days and ended up with no callback.
