These 10 best VR experiences in London offer unusual fun for your family

A few weekends ago, my family and I were stuck in the classic “What should we do today?” loop. The options? Yet another museum or another day stuck indoors.

Then, I had a bright idea: to surprise them by booking a last-minute VR experience. Within the hour, we were dodging zombies—my mum’s reaction alone was worth it. Watching her swing at invisible enemies in full VR gear had us in stitches.

That one afternoon opened an opportunity for a whole new way of spending time together that was anything but ordinary.

Since then, we’ve started exploring more of London’s VR experiences, and there’s a surprising amount to choose from. If you’re not sure which ones to go to, here are the best VR experiences in London that we found.

I deeply appreciate the effort of SPVR Arcade in putting adult and kid-friendly activities within their venue.

Those aged 10 and above can enjoy the tower tag VR experience. The goal is to claim as many towers as your group can while eliminating the opposing team.

Aside from tower tag, they also have nine VR escape rooms. What I love most is the one with an Alice in Wonderland theme that can be enjoyed by up to 12 people.

Lastly, I like their soft play area. The lovely, spacious playground is available for kids under six years old. Here, they can play in a castle or watch kids’ TV shows, such as Peppa Pig.
