How I Reviewed

Facility Quality: I checked whether each studio has quality features like sprung floors and professional sound systems. These details help make every class safer and more enjoyable.

Variety of Classes: I looked at the range of dance styles to see if each studio welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers. Having plenty of options also makes it easier to try something new.

Instructor Expertise: I reviewed the instructors’ experience and teaching style. Supportive teachers with real industry backgrounds can make learning feel much easier and more enjoyable.

Flexibility and Value: I compared class schedules, booking options, and pricing to see how well they fit a busy lifestyle. Studios with flexible credits or extra perks earned higher marks on my list.

1. London Studio Centre

london-studio-centre

Website: londonstudiocentre.org

Address: 5 Nether Street

Contact: 44 020 7837 7741 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

London Studio Centre helps dancers prepare for the stage through solid training and strong industry links.

The school has trained performers for more than 40 years, giving students a real start for professional careers.

It’s worth noting that degree students take part in more than 60 performance chances. The school also offers a distance learning Master’s course for current teachers.

I also spoke with a recent grad who said the hands-on training made the move into pro dance much easier. For instance, many alumni have gone on to major West End shows, showing the school’s strong name.

Something worth noting, though, is the £45 audition fee, which isn’t refunded. Tuition loans are also limited to UK and Irish students.

Pros

  • 40+ years of conservatoire training
  • 60+ performance opportunities
  • Distance learning MA for teachers
  • Strong West End alumni network

Cons

  • £45 non-refundable audition fee
  • Tuition loans limited to UK and Irish students

2. Latin Soul Events & Studios

Address: Woodhouse Rd.

Contact: 020 8058 6086 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday and Wednesday 9:00 AM–8:30 PM | Tuesday 9:00 AM–11:00 PM | Thursday 9:00 AM–3:00 PM | Friday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM | Saturday 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

Latin Soul Events & Studios makes dance feel welcoming by putting emotional and physical well-being first.

From what I’ve seen, their friendly classes help both beginners and experienced dancers feel more confident while having fun. Their relaxed, supportive approach makes each class feel comfortable instead of overwhelming.

Adding to the appeal is the free on-site parking, which is available at the North Finchley venue, which is a rare bonus in London. This makes getting to class much easier.

That said, the 24-hour cancellation rule is strict, with no refunds or changes after the deadline. The studio also runs on a 48-week year.

Pros

  • Welcoming for all skill levels
  • Free on-site parking
  • Four weeks of pause credits
  • Focus on emotional and physical well-being

Cons

  • Strict 24-hour cancellation policy
  • Operates on a 48-week year

An Unforgettable Latin Soul Retreat

The Latin Soul retreat was an unforgettable experience! From exhilarating dance sessions to fresh, flavorful food, every moment was pure joy. The sense of community was incredible—I made new friends, explored breathtaking sights, and enjoyed a fantastic range of activities in a truly stunning location. The energy, the passion, the connection—it was magic! I also attend the regular dance classes at Caramba and they’re just as amazing. Counting down the days until the next retreat! 💃🔥

3. Atdancing

Website: atdancing.uk/dance-classes-location-north-london

Address: The Pavilion, Brickfield Lane

Contact: 44 7377 189788

Hours: Daily 2:30 PM–10:00 PM

Atdancing makes social dancing feel easy by welcoming solo learners who don’t need a partner. That friendly setting helps new dancers feel relaxed from the very first class.

Their group classes use partner rotation, so beginners meet new people while building confidence on the dance floor. It also keeps every lesson active and fun.

Next, instructors teach each move step by step, making lessons easy to follow. You can also book a private taster session before choosing the programme that suits your goals.

Overall, the classes here help build musical connection and trust while dancing, not just good footwork.

However, the studio mainly focuses on Salsa, Bachata, and Tango. Dancers wanting contemporary or hip hop, plus those outside North London, may need another option.

Pros

  • Partner rotation for solo dancers
  • Step-by-step beginner lessons
  • Private taster sessions
  • Builds confidence through social dancing

Cons

  • Limited dance style options
  • North London locations only

Great Studio for Salsa Journey

A great studio for anyone starting their Salsa journey, as well as for dancers looking to refine body movement, musicality, or explore more advanced techniques. They also offer regular footwork classes, which are quite rare to find in London. Overall, it’s a welcoming and friendly place to learn, grow, and enjoy Salsa.

Amazing Online Salsa Learning Experience

I have been learning salsa for 6 months now with Alex, and despite it being all online currently, it has been amazing. I have learnt so much, and its all due down to Alex’s teaching. Alex is so clear and doesn’t rush through any moves. I love the songs we dance to In lessons, and Alex’s passion for dance really shines through. I cant wait to finally get into the studio and meet everyone in real life, and dance together !!

Address: 97 East Barnet Rd.

Contact: 07460 004 298 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 12:00 PM–10:00 PM | Saturday 12:30 PM–5:30 PM

Forever Dance UK makes learning to dance easier for busy people with private lessons from midday until 10 PM on weekdays. That flexible schedule makes it simple to fit classes into everyday life.

As for the sessions, new students can book a sample one-on-one lesson to learn basic rhythms in a relaxed setting. It’s an easy way to see if the teaching style feels right.

A highlight here is that the instructors teach practical social dances that work well for weddings, parties, and other special events. With their lessons, you get to work on skills you that can use with confidence.

They even have free group classes with partner rotation to help students practise with different people in a relaxed way.

The main drawback is that group classes run at limited times. Introductory discounts also don’t apply to wedding dance lessons.

Pros

  • Flexible weekday private lessons
  • Free group classes after joining
  • Partner rotation during classes
  • Practical social dance training

Cons

  • Limited group class times
  • No introductory discount for wedding dance lessons

Exceptional First Dance Wedding Lessons

We had 10 lessons with Vy to learn a choreographed first dance for our wedding in August 2025. Vy really helped capture our story with quite a unique and romantic slow song we chose for our first dance. She was professional and friendly and we always looked forward to our lessons with her. She really tailored it to our abilities and in the end the dance was beautiful and left our guests in (happy) tears! We can’t recommend Forever Dance enough, our experience with them was exceptional!

Elevate with Eleni gives dancers a warm place to move, build confidence, and enjoy every class without feeling judged. The studio supports self-expression and personal growth in a friendly space.

For one thing, classes are led by an experienced and insured instructor. That helps everyone feel safe while they learn.

Each class also follows a general level format. Beginners can join with ease, while experienced dancers keep growing. Plus, a new song every week also keeps classes fun.

It’s also great that adult sessions have no long-term contracts.

Just note that bookings and payments must be made online before class. Private events also need separate studio hire.

  • New routines every week

Cons
