How We Chose the Best Pole Dancing Classes in London

  • Qualified and Passionate Instructors: We observed instructors in action during classes to see how they interact with students and handle different skill levels.
  • Reputation and Recommendations: We delved into online reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations to find the most-loved pole dancing studios in London for their positive experiences and expert guidance.
  • Class Accessibility: We understand that a lot of us have busy schedules. That’s why we prioritised studios offering central locations, flexible class timings, and easy online booking to make participation hassle-free.
  • Range of Class Levels: We looked for London studios offering classes for everyone, from beginners taking their first spin to advanced dancers refining complex tricks.
  • Value for Money: We prioritise quality over cost, so we focused on classes offering excellent teaching and resources at a justified price.

Exotica Pole Dance School stood out for its polished and professional setting. From the moment we joined in, we noticed how well-structured the classes were and the thoughtful way everything was organised.

We were particularly impressed by how approachable and supportive the instructors were. Chatting with other students, it’s obvious they also share the same sentiments. Everyone appreciates how approachable and encouraging the professors were.

They break down moves step-by-step and offer personalised feedback that makes you feel like they’re rooting for you to succeed.

The variety of classes they offer is another highlight. It offers beginner courses, conditioning sessions, and classes for advanced to ensure steady growth.

We also really loved the studio. It’s spacious, clean, and has a classy, modern vibe that makes practising there a pleasure.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is their focus on long-term courses. If you’re after flexible drop-ins, this might not be the place for you.

Pros

  • Experienced instructors
  • Supportive environment
  • Structured courses
  • Central location

Cons

  • Limited drop-in classes
  • Classes fill up fast

Bright and spacious studio; amazing instructors

“I love this studio. It is bright and spacious, the instructors are amazing, they encourage you and support you whatever level you are to be the best you can and help you progress in your pole journey.

The lessons are always one student per pole, something you don’t always get elsewhere,

There is a great community feeling with the students and instructors so come to the studio and try it out.”

Comfortable atmosphere; Instructor explained each move well

“Attended Exotica for the first time yesterday, i booked the never tried / beginner class. I have to say i enjoyed it very much, the atmosphere is very comfortable and casual with free water, coffee etc. The place is also very clean and well looked after. The instructor was very nice and explained each move well and helped me when i was unable to do something, overall very pleased!”

We were quickly drawn to Pole People Dance Fitness’ wide range of classes. They have basic skills classes for beginners to more advanced styles like spinny poles and exotic choreography.

We also appreciate how hands-on the instructors were. They really know how to adapt their teaching—whether it’s breaking down a tricky move for beginners or offering clever tips to push advanced students further.

What we loved most was the community vibe—people are genuinely friendly, and it’s easy to chat and connect with others in class.

Plus, their schedule is super convenient. They offer drop-in sessions and courses running at different times throughout the day and on weekends.

On the downside, the larger class sizes during busy times can make one-on-one feedback harder to get.

Pros

  • Wide range of classes for all levels
  • Well-established and reputable
  • Offers both courses and drop-ins
  • Strong sense of community

Cons

  • Large classes during peak times

Session was full of energy and laughter

“We booked a burlesque class for our hen party, and it was an absolute blast! From start to finish, the session was full of energy, laughter, and just the right amount of cheeky fun. The instructor was fantastic—so welcoming, encouraging, and skilled at making everyone feel confident and comfortable, regardless of experience level.

If you’re looking for something fun, memorable, and a little bit sassy for a hen party, I couldn’t recommend this more. We’re still talking about it—and we’ve all promised to practice our moves!”

Amazing and supportive instructor

“I love Polepeople! Everyone on the team is so lovely. Ana is an amazing teacher, so brilliant on the pole, and such a supportive and chilled instructor- I’m so grateful. She really takes time with everyone- and totally removes the fear out of something that can be quite intimidating- I find the classes SO much fun and can’t recommend Polepeople highly enough!  XX”
