How much is the average yoga class in London?

The average rate for a yoga class in London is around £22. Still, the average cost of a yoga class can vary significantly depending on the type of studio and class selected.

How we chose

  • Expertise – We prioritised studios with highly qualified and experienced teachers who demonstrate a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, alignment, and modifications.
  • Variety of classes – Studios offering a diverse range of yoga styles, from dynamic vinyasa flows to gentle restorative classes, were favoured to cater to different preferences and skill levels.
  • Facility and quality – We looked for studios that provide clean, well-maintained, and inviting spaces that contribute to a positive and relaxing yoga atmosphere.
  • Location – We included studios strategically located across London to ensure easy accessibility for residents in different boroughs.

They also emphasise a “Yoga of Kindness” approach. This philosophy encourages individuals to be kind to themselves, fostering both a relaxed mind and a flexible, healthy body.

Cons

  • Few reports noted inconsistent cleanliness

Cosy yoga studio with amazing teachers

“Cosy, intimate, professional and fun! I was new to Yoga and within a few months, I completely fell in love with it. With a variety of disciplines every day, you can test what works better for you, whether a more meditative and relaxed practice or a more intense and dynamic flow. Every teacher is available and happy to help you learn and improve. Thank you Emily and Jay for running it, and thank you Scarlett for pushing me to the limit with your dynamic Vinyasa flow. I cannot recommend The Yoga Studio highly enough!”

Peaceful yoga haven with transformative results

“I am so pleased to have found this small and personalised yoga studio and I love going there. The atmosphere is peaceful and the teachers are so lovely. Not only does it feel like escaping to an hour of peace but it also changes the way my body feels. My stiff shoulders and hips are more flexible and my posture is more aligned. I end each class with a thankful smile on my face.”

Challenging pilates with great vibes

“I love love love the Yogarise classes in Peckham. I’ve been going to the Dynamic Pilates class on a Thursday lunchtime for a couple of months now. Our teacher Annie is always positive and full of energy and makes sure that the classes are fresh and challenging, whilst also including options for people of all abilities. The studio itself is also very welcoming and a peaceful place to spend a 45-minute class. I couldn’t recommend this class and the studio enough.”

Harriet Hayes, Google Review

Hidden yoga haven with everything you need

“Fantastic class in a fantastic space! A bit of a hidden gem as you have to navigate the sneaky alleyways of Peckham to find it (and find the right stairs!) But it’s a very cool organisation with multiple studios, jam-packed timetables of classes with a variety of teachers and all kinds of yoga to suit every need. They have changing rooms, equipment to borrow, mats to hire, mat storage to rent and a chill-out space with a mini café in there too. Incredibly friendly staff and generally good vibes all around. Highly recommend it to anyone.”

Yoga for long-term health and happiness

“I have been attending yoga sessions regularly with the Power Yoga Company in Fulham for about 15 years. I attribute the centre to much of my feelings of well-being and good health. I always seem to feel refreshed and calm after the sessions. The class leaders each have their styles but are encouraging and supportive no matter your level. Classes have become part of my routine and I try not to miss them. There is a good range of programmes throughout the day.”

  • Operating hours unavailable

It goes without saying the past few months have been challenging in some way for all of us. During the height of the pandemic, whilst we were all restricted to staying at home, I embraced this period to use the yogic practice taught by the wonderful teachers at Samsara and go solo. However now that our situation has improved it has been a blessing to return to the studio. It is, as always has been, a lovely safe environment, and I feel my presence there is also helping out those who have helped me out for so long. There is once again a great variety of classes that operate throughout the day which fit perfectly now working life has resumed. And the social, albeit distanced, interaction gives the energy and enjoyment that is such a vital part of studio practice. So grab your mat and come on down.
