How We Picked the Best Dentists in London

  • Expertise: We looked into the credentials of the dentists carefully to make sure we only feature the best of the best in the field. We look at their specialisations, academic record, and level of experience.
  • Accessibility: We included clinics that are easily reachable and accessible. We checked their booking system, operating hours, and overall responsiveness to any queries or concerns.
  • Professionalism: More than excellence, we ensured that the dentists conducted their treatments with utmost professionalism and friendliness. We know the atmosphere of a clinic is an important factor to clients, so we made sure to assess that as well.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Who better to ask than the previous clients about their overall experience? We assessed patient feedback because it gives us insight into factors like efficiency and manner of the practitioners and the staff.

Pros

  • Wide range of services offered
  • Accepts most dental insurances
  • Emergency services offered

Cons

  • Setting up an account in their system takes time
  • Inconsistent hours

Dr. Kev Patel is the clinical director and a general and cosmetic dentist. He has an impressive academic record, qualifying from King’s College London Dental Institute.

Although a bit younger than some of the dentists on this list, we included him because of his proven track record and great rapport with patients.

He has worked in both NHS and private practice. He’s known for his minimally invasive smile makeovers where he uses both simple and advanced teeth straightening techniques and cosmetic procedures.

We like how much he cares for his patients and how he pushes for preventative dentistry. He makes sure to educate his patients to avoid dental problems.

He’s very calm and friendly, from what we’ve seen. So it’s easy to feel comfortable during consultations.

He’s also from a big clinic. So should you need a referral to another dentist, it’s easy to find one who specialises in what you need.

As for the clinic, we like that Bond Dental London offers a wide range of services such as general dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics, and Invisalign. They have two clinics, one in Marylebone and another in Bloomsbury.

They also offer emergency services should you need immediate care. They also accept a wide range of dental insurances, making it more convenient.

Booking an online appointment is fast and intuitive on their online form, which we like. However, you have to make an account in their system so signing up might take some time.

Dr. Shihab Hussein is the principal dentist and clinical lead at The Dental Centre. He has an impressive training background.

He graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. From what we’ve seen, he has vast knowledge and extensive experience in different dental treatments.

He specialises in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers. He also is skilled in providing tooth coloured fillings, composite veneers, porcelain crowns and Invisalign.

He’s also really great at placing and restoring implants and is skilled at treating different temporo-mandibular joint dysfunctions, obstructive sleep apnoea, and many more.

Aside from his wide range of specialisations, we like that he’s very calm and understanding. He really builds a good relationship with his patients and reassures them by answering their questions clearly.

His gentle delivery of any treatment really helps put patients like us at ease. As for the clinic he’s a part of, we find them very efficient and welcoming.

We like that the clinic has an upfront pricing structure that you can see here. There are no hidden fees or charges.

They also have the latest equipment in dentistry. We saw that they have intraoral cameras for surgeries and other treatments.

One thing we noticed, however, is that they have a pretty small team. They have only three dentists, two hygienists, a specialist oral surgeon, and two nurses.

So it might be difficult to find a time slot. It’s best to book your appointment early.

As for the booking experience, it was intuitive but the online form is a bit outdated, from what we’ve seen.

Cons

  • Range of services not as extensive
  • Outdated website

Dr. Javier Perez Arnaud graduated from the University of Alfonso in Madrid, Spain. He then got his master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry in Implantology and Diploma in Oral Surgery here in London.

He’s one of the few dental surgeons with these credentials, making him in demand in the field. He specialises in oral surgery and dental implants.

Aside from his impressive credentials and level of experience, we like that he’s very approachable and easy to talk to.

Surgical procedures can be very scary and Dr. Perez really helps calm his patients by answering questions and briefing them thoroughly about what to expect.

We like that he’s part of a huge team of dentists. So should you need referrals, it’s easy to find someone who will accommodate you.

Mint Dental Centre is also one of the best clinics in London. They’re very accessible in terms of location and are open 7 days of the week.

They’re also pretty affordable. They even offer free NHS treatment to children up to 18 years old, pregnant women, women a year after the birth of their child, and recipients of income support, tax credits, and job seekers’ allowance.

As for their range of services, they offer orthodontic services, implant services, gum treatment, teeth whitening, and even emergency services when you need it. We noted that their range of services aren’t as extensive as with other clinics, so that’s something to consider.

We also find their website outdated, making it a bit difficult to look through their services. If you have questions, it might be best to reach them via phone.

Pall Mall Dental London is very accessible in terms of location. They’re in the heart of Central London.

They’ve been around for over 12 years and have made their name as a clinic through the years because of their efficient service. They have served over 250,000 patients and their experience shows, from what we’ve seen at their clinic.

They’re very upfront with their prices. You can see them here

Their prices are reasonable as well. So if you’re on a tight budget, they’re a good option.

Booking online is intuitive but we find their website and online form to be outdated. So it might be best to give them a call to set an appointment.

Their clinic is clean and the waiting area is very comfortable. They also have a wide range of services available.

So whether you need a check-up, hygiene therapy, or other forms of in-depth treatment, you’ll see that they practice a gentle and minimally-invasive approach. They’ll also make you feel supported and relaxed the whole time.
