I’m a regular at dog-friendly restaurants, but London doesn’t exactly let me bring my pets everywhere. Sometimes, they need plans of their own while I’m off doing mine!
That’s where the best dog daycare in London comes in handy. A good one gives energetic pups room to play and clingier companions a safe place to settle.
I’ve rounded up spots that make leaving them behind feel far less guilt-inducing. Ideally, you’ll come back to a happy dog who’s had a better social life than you.
How much does dog daycare cost in London?
Dog daycare in London usually costs around £25 to £90 per day. Prices vary depending on the location and level of care.
Independent sitters typically charge £25 to £40 per day. This often includes a home setting, walks, and more personal attention.
Standard daycare centres usually cost £32 to £55 per day. Group play, socialisation, and sometimes pick-up and drop-off may be included.
Premium facilities can cost £60 to £90 per day. These may offer longer hours, smaller handler-to-dog ratios, webcams, and optional spa services.
How We Reviewed
- Play and socialisation spaces: We favoured daycares with plenty of room to zoom, sniff and make friends. Good play areas mean happier, more pleasantly tired dogs.
- Staff qualifications and ratios: Trained staff matter when playtime gets lively. We looked for experienced teams that don’t pack in too many dogs per handler.
- Transport and convenience: Not everyone has time for a cross-London drop-off. We gave extra points to daycares offering safe, comfortable pick-up and drop-off.
- Health and safety measures: Fun’s only fun when it’s properly managed. We checked for secure facilities and clear procedures for handling emergencies.
1. London Dog Club

London Dog Club feels built for pups who’d rather spend the day making friends than staring at the front door. Its Chessington daycare has agility areas, a doggy beach and seasonal pools for dogs with energy to burn.
The enrichment side is just as appealing, with scent games, treat-based training and basic commands mixed into the day.
Owners also get a dedicated manager and daily photos, which makes being apart feel a bit less dramatic.
I also like the convenience of its home collection service. The air-conditioned vans use secure crates and live Global Positioning System tracking, so the commute sounds more organised than mine usually is.
The catch is that regular daycare only runs Monday to Friday. Bookings must also be made by noon the previous day, and new dogs need a paid trial day before joining.
Amazing, Gentle Care for a Dog in Recovery
We are so happy we found London Dog Club! Our dog Naomi recently had spinal surgery and can’t play actively with other dogs. The team at LDC has been amazing — they keep a close eye on her, offer her lots of mental activities, gentle care, and plenty of cuddles. The team has been amazing from day one. King’s Dog Daycare is very much the Chelsea option for smaller pups with expensive taste. Dogs up to 15 kilograms get large play areas, quiet zones and plenty of structured socialisation.
I especially like that younger dogs can ease in through puppy-focused introductions rather than being thrown straight into the chaos.
There’s also an on-site grooming salon, so daycare and a tidy-up can happen in one trip.
The café is a nice bonus for humans, with speciality Colombian coffee available at drop-off. King’s also offers country boarding through The Five Bells in Hampshire for registered daycare dogs.
The downsides are the premium pricing and strict 15-kilogram weight limit. Full-day daycare costs £86, so bigger dogs and tighter budgets may need to look elsewhere.
Convenient Hours and One Very Excited Dog
I can’t recommend King’s Dog Daycare enough. My dog Sonya goes absolutely wild with excitement the moment we leave South Kensington station. She adores the King’s team and is so loved and well cared for.
They open early and close later, which is incredibly convenient for anyone working full-time. I also love being able to see what Sonya is up to during the day through their (often hilarious) Instagram stories. Being able to purchase coffee and pastries at the drop-off is a bonus during my commute. It’s great that she can be groomed during daycare hours, too.

From Nervous to Racing Through the Door
The entire team at Kings is absolutely wonderful, and the daycare experience has had such a positive impact on our dog Cashew!
He used to be a bit nervous about playing with other dogs and leaving mum and dad, and now he literally races through the door every morning to see his human and dog friends at Kings. It’s been so nice to watch his confidence grow.

Halo Dogs is a strong pick for pups who’d swap city pavements for proper countryside any day. Its Enfield base sits on a huge private estate with secure outdoor areas and plenty of room for structured play.
I also like that the team offers agility and behavioural support, which gives more energetic or nervous dogs something beyond standard daycare. Qualified trainers and behaviourists add a bit more confidence when your dog needs extra guidance.
The rural setting is another big draw, especially if your pet gets bored with the usual indoor routine.
Veterinary professionals are also part of the wider team, which is reassuring from a care perspective.
The main catch is the stricter booking setup. Weekend bookings need advance notice, and certain last-minute transport changes may come with extra charges.
Convenient Pickups and Great Peace of Mind
Halo is a fantastic doggie daycare; our young dog enjoys his time there, and we feel at ease knowing he is being cared for in a loving way. We have left him for long holidays, short weekends away and daycare, and each time Gus is happy when he returns home. We find the pick up and drop off so convenient; Gus doesn’t look back when one of the friendly team arrives at the door. We love the daily pictures and updates that we get sent. Like One Big Happy Family
We love Halos; we’ve been using them for 3 years for doggy day care and boarding since our boy was 6 months. The team of experienced handlers are fantastic; they get to know your dog and all of his personality traits and make sure he is well cared for and much loved. It’s like one big happy family. He has such a great time when he goes, mixing and playing with the other dogs and finding quiet time when he needs it. It’s a perfect environment for all a dog’s needs.

Man’s Best Friend Kensington and Chelsea is a handy option when your dog deserves more than another lap around the block. They collect pups across West and Central London and whisk them off to a secure countryside site in Surrey.
There, dogs get open fields, agility equipment, paddling pools and heated rest areas. I also like the regular Instagram updates, so you can keep tabs on the fun without hovering at pick-up time.
The team brings experience in veterinary studies, canine first aid, behaviour and zoo keeping.
Their shop is useful too, with food and other dog essentials available for hand delivery within the service area.
The catch is that they only cater for small and medium dogs. There’s also no weekend daycare or overnight boarding, which limits flexibility.
Highly Professional and Mindful of the Dogs’ Well-Being
We send our pup weekly to Man’s Best Friend for daycare and walks, as well as board her occasionally (boarding in a staff member’s home) and love the service. The staff are very competent and affectionate with the dogs, and communication is timely and professional. They are very mindful of the dogs’ well-being, taking extra care on very cold or warm days to adjust the setup accordingly (e.g., paddling pools on hot days). Highly recommend!

Total Peace of Mind for My Puppy
I can’t recommend Man’s Best Friend KC enough! My puppy Rocky recently spent the day at their daycare, and I could tell right away how happy and well cared for he was. 5. Hounds of Hackney

Hounds of Hackney suits dogs who’d rather spend the day adventuring than lounging by the radiator. Their private, fully fenced dog park gives pups plenty of room for proper off-lead exercise.
I like that the team keeps groups small, with roughly one handler for every four dogs. Mornings also include puzzle toys, snuffle mats and other activities before the pack heads out.
Collection is another handy perk if your schedule’s already packed. Dogs are transported by van to the adventure park, so you’re not juggling an extra journey across Hackney.
The catch is that collection requires a minimum of three daycare days per week. Dogs who don’t attend for two weeks may also lose their place, and there’s no weekend daycare.
Bursting With Excitement Every Morning!
Our pup Rafi is so well taken care of with Hounds of Hackney. When the time comes to leave for daycare, he is bursting with excitement, and the photos and videos shared throughout the day show how much love and care are given to the dogs over the course of the day. He comes home pooped every day!
The team have always been super responsive and flexible. We started with dog walking, but it was an easy decision to move to day care, and they even handle his grooming. All around great service and I would strongly recommend them.
