Working with a graphic designer is like dating, except the heartbreak is potentially printed on thousands of flyers. We’ve all swiped right on a dazzling portfolio, only to discover their love affair with Comic Sans.
And I’d know. I once commissioned a company to do a logo for my side hustle, envisioning chic minimalism. What I received instead was a neon-infused, 90s clipart disaster. A sugar-coated nightmare.
So, take it from me: finding a talented graphic designer is worth it if you want to actually get graphics that match your vision. Luckily, I’ve since had some help from the rest of the Wunderlust team in finding the top graphic designers in London.
Rest assured, we’ve done our research and gleaned personal testimonials from previous clients of the shortlisted graphic designers to bring you the best. Here’s who made our list.
How much does it cost to hire a graphic designer in London? Expect to spend at least £100 per day when hiring a basic junior-level graphic designer in London. This price is just an estimate and will vary depending on the services you require and the experience of the graphic designer. |
How We Chose
- Portfolio: We combed through their portfolios like detectives at a crime scene, seeking crisp, creative, and varied work that proved their versatility and skill. We chose designers who demonstrated mastery of everything from self-branding to B2B materials.
- Client testimonials: We didn’t just take designers at their word. Glowing recommendations and repeat business were our gold standard.
- Innovation and trend awareness: We sought out designers who not only followed trends but set them, showcasing out-of-the-box creativity while keeping a finger on the pulse of what’s hot.
- Communication skills: Brilliant design is meaningless without clear communication. We prioritised designers who not only grasped a client’s vision but also articulated their own ideas with clarity, fostering collaboration and trust.

Contact details: +442037739137
Operating hours: Monday to Saturday – 9 AM to 6 PM
Website: Creative Harmony
Creative Harmony caught our eye with their versatile services and a rather inviting offer for a free 15-minute discovery call. We spoke with a designer who was kind and informative, and didn’t shy away from letting us know their prices might exceed budgets.
We also chatted with a mix of their clients. We got quite a few enthusiastic reviews about their business card designs that had us rewatching that scene from American Psycho. Aside from that, it appears that their speciality is branding.
Their branding services have helped quite a few people redefine their business image. Some shared that it was like Creative Harmony pulled their design vision right out of their head and gave it life.
However, we did hear comments on a few spelling errors on brochures and posters. Minor issues and simple to fix. It does suggest doing a QC run on their samples before giving them a go-ahead, though.
Pros
- Free discovery call
- Informative staff
- Unique and memorable business card designs
- Excellent branding services
Cons
- Pricing may not be budget-friendly
- Minor spelling errors

Top Left Design is a unique team of graphic designers for specialised industries. We reached out to a few charities that worked with them and all were very complimentary.
We got a lot of notes about how Top Left Design successfully created campaigns that got results. Some said that they could tell a few brochures were a bit rushed at the end, however.
In the education and consulting worlds, people loved how the team made complicated ideas easy to understand through design. They also have extensive experience in media and entertainment projects, so that’s another feather in their cap.
Ultimately, this is a solid set of designers to go to for design that gets exposure and establishes a style or brand. Creative they may be, but the team is also results-oriented, which a lot of people will appreciate.
